5. Construction of a 5 stance lined pit latrine at Akadot PS valued at 27,993,966.

Today, the Deputy RDC of Kumi Mr. Chemutai James Small commissioned education projects 4 FY 2026/27, they included;
1. Maintenance of 4 classroom block with an office at Oladot P/S valued at 90,417, 165.
2. Construction of 2 classroom block at Kakures PS valued at 75,960,933.

The District leaders earlier today received a vehicle from @MAAIF_Uganda under @UCSATP to support the implementation of the project activities in the district.
This comes as a major boost to the district for the success of the project.

A team from @MAAIF_Uganda is conducting Training of Trainers(ToT) of District and Sub county teams on Grievance Redress Mechanisms(GRM) under the @UCSATP at the District Council Chambers.
The training aims at equipping GRCs with the skills to handle project related grievances.

Kumi leaders have flagged off the 5th Cohort of 40 youth for a six month skills training on various trades @IndustrialHubs Soroti. This is part of the @KagutaMuseveni initiative to equip young people with employable skills 2 start small business so as 2 improve their livelihood.

The district leadership led by Mr. Kyomia James, the Deputy RDC has handed over the Constn. of a two classroom block at Kakures P/S in Kakures Sub County. Project will cost @GovUganda 75,960,933.
The classroom block will improve learning env't to 1,124 pupils.

The Deputy RDC, Mr. Kyomia James has launched the construction of a sports facility at Aukot Primary School in Kanyum Town Council at a cost gov't 59.3m.
The facility will consist of a football pitch, Netball & volleyball courts plus a handball pitch.

Mr. Mubito John Bosco, the RDC of Kumi has commissioned the Construction of a 4 classroom block at Kanyum primary school in Kanyum Town Council creating a convenient learning env't for 1,070 learners. Project cost gov't 67,000,000 shillings.
