Here's a little behind-the-scenes story from my visit with Ed Martin.

First, he really is exactly the person you see online. A genuinely happy warrior who lives and breathes the fight against injustice.

What surprised me, though, was that we probably spent most of our time off camera talking about something completely different. We discovered a shared admiration for Joseph Ratzinger, one of the greatest minds of the 20th century, and arguably of any century.

My fascination with Ratzinger goes back to my teenage years. I was wrestling with the question of free will when I came across one of his books. For the first time, I encountered what struck me as the most compelling answer: that we possess genuine free will, but that freedom is intrinsically ordered toward truth.

Those are conversations for another day. What made this one so special was discovering that Ed not only shares that admiration, but actually knew Joseph Ratzinger personally and spent a great deal of time with him. That absolutely blew me away.

I just wanted to share this because sometimes the people we come to like here on Twitter for one reason or another turn out to have an entirely different side to them, with experiences and interests we never would have guessed.

SETH RICH UPDATE: Today an attorney for the government told me that I would soon be getting confirmation that several hundred pages of documents related to Seth Rich were found in a previously-hidden room at FBI headquarters. You may recall that on July 30, 2025, Fox News Digital reported that newly-installed FBI Director Kash Patel and his leadership team had located an unmapped / sealed area within the J. Edgar Hoover Building's SCIF.

Last year’s Fox report described "burn bags" that contained thousands of pages of classified files intended for destruction, and those files were linked back to the 2016 "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation. Now it appears the Seth Rich records were among the files designated for destruction.

Mind you, I don’t have anything in hand yet. I don’t even know whether the FBI will agree to release a single page of what it found. Nonetheless, any confirmation that the files were in the secret SCIF raises a lot of questions. At the very least, some very high-level people had something to hide.

The FBI originally told me in 2017 that it had no records whatsoever about Seth Rich because it was not involved in the investigation of his death. We were told he died in a “botched robbery” and only the local police were investigating it.

Since that time, the FBI has gradually admitted to possession of several thousand pages of documents about Seth, his work laptop, an image of his personal laptop, and another DVD. Nonetheless, on June 15, 2026, I had to file yet another motion (https://t.co/FsVfNU9rMo) explaining how the FBI is withholding records in violation of court orders.

If the FBI is still fighting transparency so hard on other fronts (and it is), then why would it acknowledge that records about Seth had been hidden in the SCIF? I don’t know. Maybe Joe DiGenova’s grand jury investigation in Miami is putting some heat on the players in DC?

I can tell you this much for sure: nobody on Capitol Hill has been willing to touch this subject with a ten-foot pole. The murder of Seth Rich – and the resulting cover-up – is as radioactive as any topic I’ve ever seen. I hope that changes soon, and I’ll post updates as soon as I know more.

SCOOP: We obtained an email from a FIFA fan who purchased a $150 USA sweater at a game. They claim they noticed afterwards that the US flag was stitched UPSIDE DOWN.

But it gets better. The Future of War is partnered with the Weaponized Narrative Initiative. Which is also partnered with Narrative Strategies. The same folks associated with the Tiki Torch bearing Lincoln Project, and the CTI League Files crew that used debanking and trolls to counter disinfo. And also hung around with Netwar System, a crazed and volatile prequel to CTI League.

We are talking Future of War links to John McCain, Erica Chenoweth, Mark Milley and even Evelyn Farkas of the integrity Initiative. Heck, a cofounder, Michael Lind, used to work with Irving Kristol a friend of the Integrity Initiatives Institute for Statecraft. Heck New America even got funding from the linked Smith Richardson Foundation. There’s some seriously deep ties here.

The New America CEO was even on a Hillary Clinton’s propaganda team. Which met the same day that all sorts of Russiagate magic happened. September 25, 2015 and I’ll explain it all, you know me.
