Nice read on reverse engineering of GitHub Copilot 🪄. Copilot has dramatically accelerated my coding, it's hard to imagine going back to "manual coding". Still learning to use it but it already writes ~80% of my code, ~80% accuracy. I don't even really code, I prompt. & edit.
I’ll be honest: I’ve stopped listening to the “VR is dead” folks altogether. Most of these takes fall into one of a handful of categories:
- I tried it years ago and it wasn’t good
- It can’t replace real-life
- I can still see the pixels
- Screens in your face are bad
etc. etc.
LOTR Rings of Power is out. But I spent most of the first episode sad and internally mourning and reminiscing the miracle of the original trilogy. I basically can’t watch it hurts too much. Lol @ review I encountered:
“We are raising a generation of algorithms that are like undergrads [who] didn’t come to class the whole semester and then the night before the final, they’re cramming." Alexei Efros on supervised learning. My story for @Quanta on self-supervised learning: https://t.co/b8s5lPh31V
Who knows Marques Brownlee? @MKBHD

A reminder to “just start” and keep going. Perfection is a fallacy. Progress/Survival is the goal.
I was already really into this Polestar O2 concept car's design, but when the BUILT IN DRONE FLEW OUT THE BACK, that sold it for me 😅

Read about 4D-Net, a neural network that learns to combine inputs from streams of 3D point cloud and RGB camera image data to enable effective 3D object detection in autonomous driving while maintaining computational efficiency. https://t.co/5kpWVqM9aL
