Agenda 2063: "The Africa We Want"
An Africa that feeds + sustains itself.
✨Feed itself: Grow our own food. Use our land, farmers, indigenous crops like millet.Stop $50B+ food imports.
✨Sustain itself: #Agroecology. Farm naturally so the land can feed our children too.
As a proud beneficiary of @SEATINIUGANDA’s
program.I am grateful for the opportunities and knowledge that continue to empower young entrepreneurs to drive Africa’s development. #Congratulations on 30 years of impact, and here’s to an even greater future!

From the Farm to the Policy Table
As agroecological entrepreneurs, we focus on farming, sales, production...
But the #1 thing that determines if we thrive or struggle?
#POLICY
Here’s why every one of us should care about #ADVOCACY 👇
🪝 Entrepreneurs should embrace policy
We can’t sit this one out.
Shoutout to @pelum_uganda and @Afsafrica
for putting entrepreneurs intentionally in these conversations.
We must influence decisions that affect our future.

Key takeaways from @JeroFarm
🌱 Use what you have - Backyards, compounds, small spaces can be productive ecosystems.
They create income, food security, and inspire communities.
#KnowWhatYouEat,for example you can grow your own vegetables using both locally or #hydroponic
Honored to represent @KikaziProducts
at a planning meeting from 23rd–24th July 2026 at #JEROFarm 💚
Beyond great discussions, the venue itself was a healing garden.
Learning in nature = calm mind = better ideas.
“Environment influences how you think.”
@Afsafrica
Big thank you to @pelum_uganda For this powerful initiative.
They’re equipping entrepreneurs with knowledge + confidence to engage in policy advocacy.
Knowledge is power. And we need it at the policy table.
Many of us think: “Advocacy is for politicians, lawyers, policy makers.”
That has to change.
If we don’t sit / get involved/interested /represented at the table, decisions will be made about us, without us.
Our #farms,#Food depend on the policies around us.
“Africa must not only be a market for imported products; we must build productive economies that consume what we produce and compete within regional and global markets.”
Ms. Jane Nalunga highlights the need to address import patterns and support local industries by creating a conducive environment for African producers. She notes that while trade openness remains important, strategic measures are needed to strengthen domestic industries and expand opportunities under regional markets such as the East African Community, COMESA, and the Tripartite Free Trade Area.

Regional trade requires production that is tailored to market demand, with clear product specifications, quality standards and grading systems.
