I have been seeing lots of ads selling me things that promise to improve my child's development. Instead of feeling guilty about not buying her things, I reflected on what we know about child development and wrote this. I hope this helps others let go of the guilt, too!

There is a viable bipartisan path to funding better child care. The problem is the legislation has no dedicated funding attached, yet. Call your representatives and urge them to support and set aside funding for The Child Care and Development Block Grant Reauthorization Act.
