This video is Premier Danielle Smith's entire keynote address to the attendees of 2025 UCP Annual General Meeting in Edmonton (Nov 29, 2025).

This is perhaps the best argument I've ever heard for an independent Alberta.

She spent the first 5 minutes talking about how she's exhaustingly had to fight Ottawa every step of the way. Sure, Trudeau and Guildbeault are gone, and Carney is more moderate because of Trump, but how long before our next battle with Ottawa?

Then she spent 25 minutes explaining how we're different than every other province, and getting a standing ovation for every example.

We don't believe in DEI and wokeism. We're getting ready to introduce a "Castle" doctrine. Be believe in private healthcare. We believe in property rights, like gun ownership. We believe parents know best what's good for their kids. We believe in educational choices. We think natural gas, oil, and even coal are good. We believe people who come here should adjust to our way of life, and speak English. We believe individuals should be more responsible, and less dependent on government. We support farmers and entrepreneurs.

We'll never get a fair deal in Confederation because the east outnumbers us, and they don't share the same values. The proof is in all the standing ovations she got during her speech.

So why does she still think she can negotiate a more sovereign Alberta in a united Canada?

You are poorly educated, simply repeating what they told you in high school: The claim that Canada is a "nation of diverse immigrants" is a willful act of deception intended to justify the ethnocide of Euro-Canadians. Here are the solid FACTS:

I. Most of the men and women who built Canada were Whites INDIGENOUS to this nation, and the ones who came from outside were overwhelmingly French, Irish, British, Scottish and European SETTLERS until the 1970s.

II. In 1867, approximately 80% percent of Canadian residents had been born in Canada through a high fertility rate. The rest, about 17%, were settler-farmers and workers who received next to 0 assistance.

III. The Quebecois, the Acadians, and the British Loyalists were a people created through the fecundity of the women, not immigration.

IV. Immigration contributed only about one seventh (1/7) to the total population growth of New France from its beginnings to its conquest in 1763.

V. During the 1800s until 1950, the demographic growth of the French-speaking population was a result of the continuing high birth rate of women. Only in the 1970s did Montreal start to see an increasing inflow of non-European immigrants.

VI. The estimated 50,000 Loyalists who came to Canada were not immigrants, but settlers native to the soils of British North America: they moved from American lands that were thoroughly British to Canadian lands that were also British.

VII. Between 1896 and 1914, Canada did experience high immigration levels with 2.5 to 3 million arriving within this period. However, the ethnic composition of the nation remained 84 percent British and Quebecois, while the European component rose to 9 percent.

VIII. In 1971, 96% of the Canadian population was still White.

IX. It was only after the imposition of multiculturalism in 1971 that immigrants from outside the West started to arrive in relatively high numbers. It was only in the 1990s that immigration was intensified

X. Therefore: tell all the liars that Canada was created by native Euro-Canadians. All the institutions, legal system, educational curriculum, transformation of wilderness into productive farms, all the cities, the parliamentary traditions, the churches, the entire infrastructure of railways, ports, shipping industries, and highways, were created by hardworking Euro-Canadians.

@kinsellawarren The two time I've received the flu shot in my life I was the absolute sickest I've ever been with a flu that lasted weeks not days. Dr convinced hubby to get it back in 2018, that man never gets sick and I honestly was terrified with how sick he got. Never again for either of us.
