"I drive in & out of town seeing no edge, breathing sky; & it’s hard to describe without seeming absurd; I know there's no other world; mountains and websites."
Here's a video I made combining The Lighthouse with a song by The Microphones off of The Glow Pt 2. I tried uploading it here to make the quality better but it seems the quality will be bad no matter where I post it. Oh well!

Obvious in-universe explanation is that Clark commissioned this, got it delivered fucked up for whatever reason, and he just had to use it because he couldn't afford to have it done again. Also, if I had 40 bucks I'd buy the shirt immediately lmao.
The mascot for Cap'n Clark's Ottoman Empire in Backrooms has an oddly warped hand with two swords. While this could have just been for a glowing sign at the storefront, the fact that the logo has been printed out like this is certainly... odd, to say the least.
@PoorOldRoloTony I won't play it if we don't get the guy from Midsommar who cut the penis off of the American dude who pissed on a sacred tree by mistake.
@Srirachachau He's like the biggest starfucker on the planet but somehow basically everybody finds him endearing and earnest and interesting, I'm so jealous of him lol.
@NezahualDoomer2 Is The Master "woke"? Is Zero Dark Thirty "woke"? Is Foxcatcher "woke"? Is The Ballad of Buster Scruggs "woke"? Is Outer Wild "woke"? Is the person standing behind you right now-
one of the weirder things that’s ever happened to me is when Shane Carruth replied to a question i had about the Upstream Color OST that included a photo with the restraining order against him, which lead to him being outed as an abuser, functionally ending his filmmaking career
Obviously this is another ratlimit shitpost, but it almost does feel like a lot of the opposition to the psychology/therapy element is that it isn't written to be a good representation of therapy, even though it's 1990 (not a great time for psychology!) and Mary is a fraud.
@SamBeckforLyfe@IrateMaxwell I've seen takes from people sympathetic to this even though disagree with the OP, and I get how you shouldn't try to be "colour-blind" with relation to how you depict your characters, but he's also a business owner and architect. He's not really a stereotype in any way.
@nowhesobs Oh certainly, I very much enjoyed Obsession and the lead actress deserves a nom more than basically any other horror lead I've seen in years.
I also think Backrooms is better mostly because it gives me more to think about and chew on, but Barker's script is much tighter and has better dialogue and character moments for sure.
@kacchangrenade@quqquqqqu1@haunted0clock Also, again, something angry tore apart the cardboard cutout and smashed the device and made a scene. Not exactly benevolent stuff.
