Technician and photographer.
Music and design enthused.
I aim to understand, even if I don't agree.
Innovation wolf at Tesla. ๐
Timberwolf in a ๐ฉ.
@SawyerMerritt It works only if you don't drive a lot of miles. Its charged by the mile with a discount on FSD miles.
Too expensive for heavy users/trips, great for commuting.
Also it does collect data from your car so that also is something to think about.
The retrofit worked, no issues. First Model Y with a cooled wireless charger! No QI2/faster charging on the iPhone but it does not boil the phone even when it is 30 degrees outside.
The fan kicks in, it is not audible especially with the air conditioning and seat cooling. The coding can't be done with Toolbox (no clue why, it is greyed out...) but it can be done since it is not a secure parameter (for now, they can change this if we end up buying all their YL charger inventory)
Well worth it, when YL parts availability improves a bit it'll be a no brainer. I think they'll start fitting those chargers in the factory soon.
I'll take a look at the Highland next, if the OEM charger has the same PN as the Y it should fit. The trim is different and I'd need to take out the center console to fit it but it worth it.
@Slatefoxo I was a super depressed teenager, furry felt like a space I could be myself.
Almost two decades later... it still feels like me.
While a Timberwolf in a tophat isn't logical, it makes me happy.
@mrfundman Plaid if they are buying outright/can afford to repair after the warranty expires.
M3P if they want good financing.
Although the registration after the first year would be more.
(600 dollars)
I prefer the Plaid but I own a M3P and its great.
Like iPhone 17 pro vs pro max lol
