Tyler is wearing a maroon shirt at DQ. The military's/FBI's color of the day was maroon.

I strongly suspect they were fake recruiting Tyler. They probably told him they were interested in placing him in intelligence but needed him to do certain things which included wearing the maroon shirt.

I believe they fully planned to shoot Tyler so he couldn't/wouldn't talk. But he got wise to his instructions not making sense, stopped the merry-go-round when he realized they were setting him up and turned himself in.

Our government is evil. They literally lie about everything. They view us as cattle and will think nothing about murdering any one of us to further any particular cause that serves them.

Working is normal. Working for thieves and tyrants isn't normal.

If you step outside of the matrix and become a hermit, you're going to have to work at growing your own food, hunting your own meat, digging your own well and/or hauling you're own water.

If you want to survive, humans must work, just like the rest of the animal world.

But you are correct that it isn't normal to work for the wealthy/those in power. They're criminal thugs and tyrants.

We don't have to tolerate that - but we do have to work in some form.
