My fellow residents of Delhi and visitors to the city - I request you to cooperate with @dtptraffic in making our capital a city of safe, smooth and disciplined traffic.

Adherence to traffic rules is an essential civic responsibility for the well-being of our beloved Delhi. It is also the key to reducing traffic congestion, preventing mishaps, and lowering air pollution caused by idling vehicles at signals and in gridlocks.

I urge everyone to strictly avoid wrong-side driving, signal jumping, and dangerous jaywalking. Simple actions such as responsible parking and wearing helmets and seatbelts reflect our concern for fellow citizens as well as our own families. I have directed traffic police to expand its enforcement drive across Delhi. You can also empower this movement by using the 'Traffic Prahari' app to report these violations and earn rewards for your contribution to road safety.

A decongested and safer Delhi is within our reach, provided we begin with a commitment to these basic practices. I look forward to your support in building a better capital for all.

TERI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UNMAI Carbon Solutions Pte Ltd, Singapore, to collaborate on climate change, decarbonization, and carbon markets. The MOU was signed by @DrVibhaDhawan, Director General, TERI, and Mr Nithyanandam Yuvaraj Dinesh Babu, Founder & CEO, UNMAI Carbon Solutions Singapore Pte Ltd.

The partnership will focus on advancing high-integrity carbon markets, strengthening climate finance mechanisms, and developing digital solutions such as MRV systems and carbon market infrastructure to support credible net-zero pathways in India and globally.

By combining TERI’s research and policy expertise with UNMAI’s global experience in carbon markets and digital innovation, the collaboration aims to enable scalable, science-driven solutions for climate action.

@NetflixIndia, in collaboration with @pluc_tv, launched India’s first Climate Scriptwriting Lab on 9th April 2026 in New Delhi.

The 8-month programme is designed to support 60 writers from across the country working on feature films and short fiction, with in-person workshops to be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Guwahati.

Ms. Suman Chandra, Director, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, delivered a special address at the event and formally announced the launch of the lab. She highlighted the importance of such timely initiatives that bring together storytelling and climate & clean energy awareness.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy congratulates Netflix India and PLUC TV on the successful launch of this initiative and looks forward to the creative integration of climate and clean energy themes into mainstream storytelling.

Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, chaired a meeting with the All India DISCOMs Association at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi to address key challenges in Renewable Energy adoption and scheme implementation (PM-KUSUM, PMSGY), aiming for accelerating the RE projects to achieve national goals.

- Aligning RCO targets with SERC regulations, addressing RE adoption, and enabling fulfilling RCO mechanisms.

- RE procurement challenges and evacuation delays.

- Cost optimization in RE integration.
