It's International #AngelsharkDay (#IASD26) and we are spotlighting Squatina squatina, a CMS Appendix I & II-listed angelshark species. 🦈

Once common across parts of the Northeast Atlantic and Mediterranean, this Critically Endangered shark has disappeared from much of its former range.

It hides in sandy or muddy seafloors, hunts at night, and still survives in important places like the Canary Islands and fragmented areas in the Mediterranean.

Because angelsharks move between different countries’ waters, safeguarding them takes cooperation across borders. 🌊

This is why CMS Parties have adopted an Action Plan and established an International Working Group for the Angelshark in the Mediterranean (SSAP Angelshark Med) to make sure this plan is implemented and angelshark populations are restored.

@Matt_Spanner @Digibrah It was an experiment to try to create a leader to advance society. It worked rather okay in the case of Saki and Satoru, but in the case of Shun, it made his inner negative traits more obvious as well and he turned into a demon. Digibro probably slept through that part.
