This was meant to be our ‘Happy New Year’ article looking forward to what 2025 might bring for the people of Edinburgh that we represent. But, to be honest, we don’t really know what to expect.

Edinburgh Green councillors are offering a fresh start, an alternative to the current weak, rudderless & unstable administration.
Greens won't stand by and watch as housing rights are rolled back and crises in social care and climate adaptation rage on.

It’s unbelievable it’s taken Cllr Day this long to do the inevitable and resign as Council Leader. All parties - including his own - knew this had to happen and that it is incompatible to lead the Council while facing police investigation and serious accusations.
The six-month monitoring report on the #Leith low traffic neighbourhood (#LTN) was published recently. It showed the scheme has been an astonishing success at reducing traffic.
So what's next for the Leith LTN?

Today Colinton/Fairmilehead folks have the chance to vote for Daniel Milligan and I really hope they take it! Daniel would make a fantastic local councillor who would really put the needs of his constituents first. Grab the chance now and vote for Daniel Milligan! #VoteGreen
Very proud to be on the panel for the first ‘off-Broadway’ Scottish Greens Fringe for @newint. It was a really frank, honest & at times funny discussion on power & radicalism. Huge thanks to those who organised & the audience participation! 🙌💚
Massive well done to @elliebgomersall and @_AnthonyCarroll.
An amendment from grassroots members and councillors means Scottish Greens MSPs will not support an SNP budget with cuts to local authorities.
Fantastic work 👏💚 #SGPconf
Great to speak at @EdinburghGreens event tonight with brilliant panel of activists and a live link-up with Hebron, talking about how we can build Palestine solidarity in Scotland and take action against fascism ✊️🇵🇸💚
No surprise that Lib Dems are total hypocrites on transport & climate. I'd have expected better from SNP councillors though.
Both parties have supported ambitious climate & vehicle reduction targets then voted against measures to deliver them.
Duplicitous.
It's astonishing to see a government that @Keir_Starmer & @ScottishLabour consider an ally committing war crimes like we haven't seen for a generation.
There is no more hiding it, the worlds eyes are on Gaza and Lebanon. Stop arms sales now!
Looking forward to a Halloween ride this weekend! Come dressed up so that we can be the scariest thing on the streets as we navigate the most haunted streets of Edinburgh on our Spooky Circuit! 2pm Saturday at Middle Meadow walk! #criticalmass#bikes#cycling#safestreets
Suitably embarrassed and pleased to have been shortlisted for Young Cllr of the Year at @LGiU awards. Thank you to those who have supported my nomination and everyone who has helped me in my role as a Cllr over the past 2 years 🌟
Horrific scenes. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the BMW 5 series that did this. I'm hoping to see barriers installed soon and for this reckless driver to be found.
