At 17, Dawn Loggins came home from a summer program and discovered her family was gone.

No note.

No warning.

No home.

Months later, she received an acceptance letter from Harvard.

This is her story.

Dawn grew up in rural North Carolina in a house without electricity or running water.

When the family needed water, she and her brother walked to a public park and filled jugs from the bathroom faucets.

Showers were rare.

Classmates called her dirty.

She kept showing up to school.

Her parents moved constantly.

Eviction after eviction.

New town.

New school.

By age 17, Dawn had attended four different high schools and missed nearly an entire year of education.

Most students would have fallen behind.

Dawn excelled.

When she arrived at Burns High School in 2010, guidance counselor Robyn Putnam immediately saw something special.

Dawn enrolled in makeup courses.

Studied before sunset because there were no lights at home.

Took AP classes.

Earned straight A's.

Joined clubs.

Then led them.

Photography Club.

Rock Climbing Club.

Spanish Club.

President of all three.

That summer she earned a place at the prestigious Governor's School of North Carolina.

Teachers helped buy her clothes.

Putnam drove her 200 miles to the program.

Nobody knew where Dawn would be living when it ended.

The concern turned out to be justified.

Near the end of the program, Dawn tried calling home.

The number was disconnected.

When she returned, the house was empty.

Her parents had moved away.

She was 17 years old.

Homeless.

Alone.

Most people would have stopped there.

Dawn didn't.

She couch-surfed.

Carried toiletries in her backpack because she never knew where her next shower would come from.

And every morning at 6 a.m., she went to work.

As a school custodian.

She swept hallways.

Cleaned classrooms.

Scrubbed desks.

Then sat down and earned straight A's.

By graduation year, she had:
• Straight A grades
• AP courses
• Leadership roles in three clubs
• A part-time job before school every morning

Then a teacher made one suggestion:

Apply to Harvard.

Dawn laughed.

Then thought:

"Why not?"

She became the first student in Burns High School history to apply.

Months later, an envelope arrived.

Harvard College.

Accepted.

Full tuition.

Full room and board.

Everything covered.

On graduation day in 2012, when her name was announced, the entire gymnasium stood and applauded.

Teachers cried.

Students cheered.

The girl who cleaned their hallways before sunrise was heading to Harvard.

When asked about her parents, Dawn didn't speak with anger.

She simply said:

"I love my parents. I disagree with the choices they've made."

Then she added something even more powerful:

"If I had not had those experiences, I wouldn't be such a strong-willed or determined person."

Burns High School had over 1,000 students.

Dawn Loggins became the first ever accepted to Harvard.

Proof that the circumstances you're born into are not the same thing as the future you're capable of building.

the only thing keeping him in is the failure to appear warrant. even though he was in davidson county’s custody the night before court & then was relinquished back into montgomery county as part of what seems to be a pre-planned plot to keep him in as long as possible.

once out, chud will be evicted from the home he’s lived in for 10 years. we are looking for a new place to live, as he is now being ordered by the court to report the address of where he will be.

🚨From listening to protester comments, it appears black jurors on the Karmello Anthony jury would have done the same thing the black jurors did in the Quinton Tellis trial in Mississippi, set a murderer free.

Tellis killed a teenage white girl named Jessica Chambers by dousing her with gasoline and burning her alive. Authorities had strong evidence, but black "Mother of the Year" jurors refused to convict — both trials ended in hung juries.

Prosecutors eventually dropped the Mississippi charges.

Tellis is now facing separate murder charges in Louisiana for the 2015 torture-killing of Ming-Chen “Mandy” Hsiao — stabbed over 30 times with signs of prolonged suffering.

The murder of Mandy Hsiao was preventable. But justice was blocked. And sadly, it’s a pattern.

A man cosplaying as a woman sexually assaults a young lady as part of a sport.  It's on tape.

That's what happened.  We recommended charges.  The Pierce County prosecutor declined to charge and says the fact that it was a man doesn't have any bearing on the assault.

It's right there. On video.  They don't want you to believe your own eyes.  It's gaslighting.  It's awful.

The Maryland state police wanted to make sure that the state troopers could read at a very basic level, because as a police officer, you're gonna need to write police reports. Black applicants failed the test at higher rates than whites.

The Maryland state troopers didn't intend to exclude Black state troopers. Racism had nothing to do with it. It was a colorblind, neutral test of skills. But because it had a disparate impact on Black applicants and disqualified more Black applicants”

Let me explain this in the most simple terms,

If a neutral (colorblind) test or rule has worse results for Black people than White people, it can be ruled discriminatory. Even if no one was trying to be racist

I’m thrilled to announce that I am three-quarters of the way to my goal!

Charleston White and Tiffney Billions have accused me of illegally obtaining “private information” and documents from the Collin County Courthouse. In an interview viewed over 800,000 times (not counting clips shared across the internet and clips still being share today), Charleston White claimed I was a prostitute and a meth addict, claiming I sold my body for meth. I have been called a “white supremacist,” a “child abuser,” and a “racist bigot.”

Last night, Tiffney Billions doubled down in an interview, calling me a “drug addict,” stating that I “live in a shack,” claiming I’m on my “fourth baby daddy,” and saying my daughter’s harm that was done to her by my ex-husband, who is now in prison, was my fault for leaving her with him. In reality, the opposite is true: I fought tooth and nail to escape our abuser 12 years ago.

Victim-blaming is her specialty, considering she views Karmelo Anthony as a “victim” and demonizes the child who was m*rdered. She also claimed all of these falsehoods after she was confronted about her criminal conviction for stealing from the elderly.

This disgusting attack on me, my family, and the Metcalfs by her must end. The Metcalfs are closely watching this lawsuit. Soon, it will be their turn to go after these people.

Tiffney’s and Charleston’s statements are a vile attempt at intimidation and a deflection from my reporting on this story. The real victim is Austin Metcalf. They know this, and the only way they can distract from actual information and evidence is to personally attack the reporter on the case.

But at an average cost of $30k per year in unearned social benefits, this program would pay for itself in less than 4 years, then add one trillion two hundred ninety billion to the surplus annually.

After 7 decades of "civil rights" activism, we have a huge black population that believes murder ought to be legal if against a white person.

Black students ought to pretend to be white on college applications, since we are said to live in a "white supremacist" society. Strangely, they do not.

That's because the truth is this: white people, in the 7 decades since the civil rights movement, crippled their own children with preferential policies that favored much less qualified black applicants in schooling and employment.

Any qualification that blacks couldn't meet at the same rate as whites had to be thrown out (or you bankrupt yourself in court by trying to show, with a team of vulture lawyers after you, that the requirement was absolutely necessary).

Countless jurisdictions have had to throw out entry exams entirely after no amount of dumbing them down could get enough black students to pass them.

The campaign against "gifted and talented" programs, meanwhile, has been driven partly by the "disparate impact" doctrine.

You've heard some of the news items. Seattle phased out its "highly capable cohort" (separate accelerated classes/schools) starting around 2021-2022, and aimed for full phase-out by 2027-2028 (with some delays). The rationale? Addressing "historical inequity" and overrepresentation of white and Asian students.

Your student can't have those programs because we've decided there are too many people in them who look like him.

Rockville Centre, New York, has long moved away from gifted tracking toward mixed-ability classes. San Francisco Unified delayed Algebra I and eliminated honors/gifted math tracks for "equity" purposes. We could go on and on.

Even though some of America's most politically "progressive" people are in education, and despite repeated and aggressive (and expensive) efforts across the country, no school district anywhere in America, no matter how progressive, has ever managed to eliminate the black-white educational achievement gap, which by 12th grade is estimated as a four-year difference.

And vastly fewer black students percentage-wise choose to take advanced-placement classes even in school systems in which such classes are open to anyone.

Given that nobody anywhere has been able to solve this problem, why, apart from hatred and spite, should bright students be singled out to be deprived of a program that benefits them?

The disparities are evident even at the very beginning of the educational process. The National Center for Educational Statistics found that blacks entering kindergarten we're already disproportionately testing in the bottom, quarter of students in reading, math, and general knowledge.

Behavioral differences are also evident that early, and they persist to the future. On average, black students are much less likely than whites to be described by kindergarten teachers as a tentative, eager to learn, and persistent in carrying out assigned tasks, and they are more likely to be described as argumentative, quick tempered, and violent.

These discipline disparities persist over time. Later in life blacks are 2 1/2 times as likely to be suspended or expelled from school as whites.

Faced with statistics, like these, so-called civil rights groups, typically accuse white teachers of arbitrarily, singling out blacks for punishment. To the contrary, black teachers have been found to be even more critical of black students than white teachers are.

Moreover, Asian students are less than half as likely as whites to be suspended or expelled, and it is unreasonable to ask us to believe that an anti-white, pro-Asian bias permeates the American educational system.

And educational disparities between the races persist even when social class is taken into account, so that comfortable explanation doesn't work.

The crime statistics tell us everything: if you based your opinions on TV or the movies, you would think the big problem in America is white-on-black violence. In fact, the reality is so overwhelmingly the opposite that most people would be shocked to learn the real numbers.

Per 10,000 whites, 3.4 violent crimes are committed against blacks. Per 10,000 blacks, 153 violent crimes are committed against whites.

As time has gone on, special accommodations for blacks, and disabilities placed on whites, have only grown more intense.

In 2023 the percentage of white men in tenure-track faculty positions at Harvard declined from 39 percent in 2014 to 18 percent. That doesn't happen by accident.

Oh, who cares about Harvard faculty, some will say.

But it reflects a society-wide problem. Here are some other numbers we now know, that also incorporate the anti-male bias in hiring:

TV/Hollywood Writers: White men comprised roughly 48% of lower-level TV writers in 2011, dropping to 11.9% by 2024.

Medical school matriculants: White men accounted for 31% in 2014, declining to 20.5% in 2025.

The Atlantic staff: In 2013: 53% male / 89% white; by 2024: 36% male / 66% white.

University faculty hiring (tenure-track): At UC Berkeley, white men comprised 52.7% of new tenure-track faculty hires in 2015, dropping to 21.5% in 2023.

Humanities/social sciences faculty hires: UC Irvine hired 64 tenure-track assistant professors in humanities and social sciences since 2020 — only 3 (4.7%) were white men.

At UC Santa Cruz, of 59 assistant professors in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (2020–2024), only 2 (3%) were white men.

Law school matriculants: White men accounted for 31.2% of law school matriculants in 2016, falling to 25.7% in 2024.

Corporate/tech entry- and mid-level (specifically Amazon): Entry-level “professionals” (college graduates) were 42.3% white male in 2014. By 2024, mid-level managers had fallen from 55.8% white male in 2014 to 33.8% (nearly 40% decline).

Tech workforce (specifically Google): White men represented nearly 50% of the workforce in 2014, dropping to less than one-third by 2024 (a roughly 34% relative decline).

Four years ago a survey of a thousand hiring managers in the United States came out that showed 16 percent of such managers had been expressly told to stop hiring white men.

Further, 48 percent of hiring managers say they have been instructed to prioritize "diversity" over merit, and 53% believe they will lose their jobs if they don’t hire accordingly.

All across the country there are special programs, of every shape and size, for minority applicants. If you had any idea of the scale of it, you would be shocked -- no matter how much you think you know about the subject.

Instead of the kind of gratitude you might expect from people who have benefited from the most systematic effort in any society to assist a minority group -- I haven't even mentioned the literal trillions in wealth redistribution -- it is never enough, and the recipients will scream "RACIST" in your face even for pointing any of this out.

We can hope that the Karmelo Anthony case accelerates the coming of the day when whites say: we have done everything humanly possible for you, and received only hatred and ingratitude in return. You are on your own now.

Well, damn.

I didn't know this.

• such tents are used to store the team's valuables
• Metcalf had an assigned tent-guarding role

That makes his trying to get Anthony to leave not simply reasonable, but a positive moral duty.

He was trying to make a person who had no right to be there, leave an area with his teammate's belongings and valuables. I assume you DO have to put your wallet and keys and cell phones *somewhere* when doing a track meet.

This puts Austin Metcalf fully in the right.

Even MORE.

I would have thought (and I said) he was justified just if the tent were a rain-shelter or the like.

But since it was a valuables storage area and hence a big theft risk, and since Metcalf was assigned duties to keep it safe, that makes Karmelo Anthony so much worse.

He was, in fact, probably there to steal stuff.
