This Machado interview is wild (start around the 7 minute mark). He’s in the “analytics” is ruining baseball camp and it sounds like he refuses to adapt.
-“It’s definitely getting harder to play, it’s definitely getting more strategic…I just wish we could get analytics out of the game.”
-All these new stats and metrics are pointless (he doesn’t know what any of them mean)
-He just wants to “see ball, hit ball”
Machado is currently hitting .174 with a .619 OPS on the season…
The Yankees have announced that Aaron Judge has a stress fracture. He will be reimaged in approximately 4-6 weeks. The team does expect him to return this season.
Eight hours before first pitch Austin Riley and Dylan Lee took some time to hang out and provide lunch to service members at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. #BravesCountry#mlb
The Reds have called up Noelvi Marte and optioned TJ Friedl to Triple-A.
With Spencer Steer able to play second base, the Reds have the ability to shuffle pieces around to get Marte into the lineup, and Marte has also been playing plenty of center field.
It's been a tough year for Friedl, and he hasn't been playing much recently.
Eric Hartman is one of the biggest breakout prospects in the Minors this year ... and he almost wasn't drafted.

Some classic Chevy Chase lines from Fletch, which is 41 today.

Might rent it tonight. I’ll charge it to the Underhills.
On Jorge Mateo starting at shortstop tonight in Cincinnati, Braves manager Walt Weiss said the shortstop position will be “day-to-day” re: who plays between Mateo, Ha-Seong Kim and Mauricio Dubón

#Braves Spencer Schwellenbach told me he started throwing 5 days ago – flat ground at 60 ft. every other day. He'll throw at that distance for 2 weeks then 2 weeks at 75 ft. before hopefully getting on the mound.
He feels really good and is very encouraged by the early sessions.
