One Nation supporters keep claiming Australia is “going backwards”, but the data tells a different story.
🇦🇺 Australia ranks 3rd in the world for Quality of Life.
🇦🇺 We consistently rank among the world’s top countries on the UN Human Development Index.
🇦🇺 We’re regularly in the global top 10 for happiness.
No country is perfect, and there are real challenges with housing and cost of living, but pretending Australia is some dystopian failure just isn’t supported by the facts.
Australia can always do better. But compared to the rest of the world, we’re still one of the best places on Earth to live.
Why be surprised One Nation is out in front of the polls?
When you have every fucking media organisation in the country lavishing praise on you as they know you are big business friends, while screaming hate against Labor 24/7/365, cause they hate Labors IR laws, health and education policies, you’re going to be in front in the polls.
Question begs….WHY are the billionaire media barons so in love with Hanson?
What has she promised them?
I don't think people are prepared for how throughly AI billionaires want to undermine the concept of original thought. They're trying to systematically redefine thinking as a product and we're all just happy we can write an email in 42 instead of 45 seconds.
They are OUR resources. If we just tax them, we get billions back without risking a single cent of public money.
Under Hanson’s plan, gas profits tax is axed, the 25% tax is blocked, and we pay drilling bills upfront all to get a smaller 30% cut.🤦♂️
It’s a rip-off.
A major reason that it didn’t make sense to use AI to write an essay about a substantive topic is that until you write the essay you don’t actually know what you want to say or what you think. You think you do, but it is the writing itself that actually gets the thinking done.
If capitalism is so great, why do corporations need so many tax breaks, subsidies, exemptions, grants, legal protections, bailouts, and trade protections?
When citizens need these things, why is it socialism?
budget makes clear:
- only 5% of Australians will be affected (95% don't get discretionary trust income)
- disability trusts, deceased estates, charitable trusts, income from farms won't be affected, nor will fixed trusts
- people are using these trusts to avoid tax
Fascinating seeing all the "anti-establishment" One Nation fruit loops who apparently want to "tear down the system" suddenly fighting to keep the same decades-old system and status quo in place that forces taxpayers to give handouts to wealthy investors. 🤔 #auspol
Who hates the budget?
-The bosses pamphlet (AFR)
-Billionaires like Gerry Harvey & Gina (who weren’t going to pay tax on assets they were given before 1995)
-“Professional” landlords who have been subsidised by the other 90% of us
-Coalition MPs using trusts
It’s a winner
80% of Capital Gains Tax discount benefits the wealthiest 10% of people
That means 90% of us have been subsidising the wealthiest people to turn our homes into unproductive tax write offs
Labor’s budget is trying to fix this inequity
In the USA in 1943 they produced a film 'Don't be a Sucker' about fascism.
It perfectly explains Nigel Farage, Donald Trump, Elon Musk and the entire Right.
At what point do we stop pretending our newspapers are ‘news’ and start calling them what they are…
Promotional pamphlets for the billionaires who own them and the agendas they’re selling.
