Very useful information from @NuffieldTrust showing reduction in public health grant since 2016. Notable mental health services have had very slight increase overall but for such a large proportion of health need, it’s clear we’re barely closer to ‘parity’ than 5 years ago
And if we break down the regional effect into local authorities, the map of rates shows more variation.
Now we see high suicide rates in coastal towns & rural areas.
The country’s highest rates in places like Redcar, Torbay & Blackpool.
