@dkarbass On this topic, watching the Bruno Guimarães 'bleep test' training video yesterday, it did occur to me, how far off is a compulsory summer scouting combine to conclusively prove player stats? 🤣 Media would love it!

@dkarbass That's hard to quantify, right? And in this age of £100m+ players, stats are a less risky barometer to rely on?
Often wonder if a team signs a 'glue' player that will mesh with the current squad or a player of the same nationality as a 'star' player to keep them company? 1/2

@dkarbass It's reassuring to know that in this era of extreme data focus, some of the less exact measures (Are they a team player? Will they get on with others in the squad?) are still relevant. Would love to read a football equivalent of 'The Culture Map'! (obviously written by you!)

@dkarbass This is really fascinating, Danny! Have you read 'The Culture Map' by Erin Meyer? It looks at how national cultural differences impact international business and global teamwork. They always say football is a 'global language' but I bet many of the same insights are relevant. 1/2

@FraserNelson It's just the Trump playbook - I fear we've moved on from @montie's 'Opponents are opponents... they aren't enemies' (see Obama's 'disagree without being disagreeable'). Is there anything to suggest it will harm Reform? Trump's playground name calling didn't seem to hurt him...

Or maybe you could answer my question. Made some trades from the free player pool and it said they would go through ‘Wednesday Morning’ - the players I traded are still on my roster listed with a ‘claim’ option instead of a ‘drop’. When will I get access to my new players? 1/2
