@OurRevolution Your logic is a bit twisted. We already spend about 5 times as much on healthcare as we do on defense. Cutting defense spending would have very little impact on healthcare. M4A would cut the amount we spend on healthcare while covering everyone. That's a great reason for M4A.

@LiberalMalcont @mirandayaver If you think about it for a minute you might decide that it would not be a good idea to keep someone who has been indicted off the ballot. That would allow any DA to convince a grand jury to indict in order to keep someone off the ballot. Indicted is not convicted.

@awgaffney @libbycwatson It took the author a long time to get to the fundamental issue which is that private insurance creates a huge administrative and financial burden for every provider. A public option does nothing to get rid of this.

@awgaffney I hope everyone realizes that it's not electronic record keeping that's the real problem. It's the absolutely terrible software that has been written that is the culprit. Done right, this should and would be a good thing IMO.

@awgaffney It should be noted that the UK does not have a "single payer" system in any case. It has a "government run" system. Very different than a place like Canada.
