@arestaurant_guy My locations are A++++ and would never be for sale…. Which is why I chose the unique locations. Most successful locations are too much or not for sale
@NNNIncome@Jason Why does the person taking your order at a table deserve a tip but the person cooking your food doesn’t?
Or do you just not tip at all?
Had my first buyout event at the new coffee shop
$2500 total for 3 hours 65% profit
Feedback was amazing and they want to do future events and share with others in the university about our space.
This is what I hoped for when I bought it
Can easily surpass 1M this year
What a killer weekend! 55k Fri-Sun
Blew away previous year’s March weeks
And this is after a terrible January
And I was there for every minute of it
Washed a lot of dishes and spent many hours in expo
If a restaurant owner asks their distributor on a Friday night, “I think I need more cod (or you name it) for the weekend.”
(Next scheduled delivery is Monday)
What’s the proper response from the distributor?
And what response did I get?
@coach_drouin I think it comes down to concept
I prefer to focus on consistency of our menu vs specials
Regulars usually order the same thing as their frequency is probably max once a week
Have you run #s on the impact specials has on your core menu? Maybe a special could replace an item
@northwestyam@restaurantbooks Do you know how much each menu item should cost you? That’s your starting point
Then look at suppliers and ingredients to see what you can lower
Look at waste / portioning
@franchisewolf I think they made one major mistake in their accelerated growth…
Their franchisee selection was too broad and inexperienced
Big franchise brands that have long term success and growth rely heavily on franchisees that are larger successful operators
