@MCLang88@romechenko@anammostarac@blader 2FA has always required adding at least one phone number since iOS 9, for it to be activated which is therefore a prerequisite to sending codes to the trusted devices -- a loophole that was referenced in the previously cited thread. One thing where Apple excels is branding.
@blader@Apple sorry what was the rationale behind using yahoo mail as apple id? The service has had suffered multiple instances of massive data breaches https://t.co/1cHL0ddcrB
@MCLang88@romechenko@anammostarac@blader Even worse then. So what did you use for two-factor authentication, prior to Apple supporting physical security keys which only began... 2 years ago? Android has been securing accounts via security keys since Android 7.0... we're already at version 15 beta 2 as of last month.
@MCLang88@romechenko@anammostarac Well, considering what happened to @blader, she is absolutely right... your apple id's security is entirely hinged upon a Google Voice number... unless you want high-risk MITM. https://t.co/MKBYH0SlMh
apple sherlocked 1Password today, so i'd like to remind you that your Apple ID is only as secure as your carrier.
if you have 2FA on and get SIM swapped, attackers can lock you out of it PERMANENTLY.
last month it happened to me. make sure it doesn't happen to you: 🧵
@anammostarac I have both an iphone and a samsung s24 ultra. Samsung Knox security is beyond no other. Actually, it's so secure, Google started using it. Its "secure folder" feature is in reality a hidden secondary account, i.e., imagine 2 different apple IDs running in the same phone.
@magdasawon BTW, it's salt, not potassium. pickle juice is salt and vinegar. the salt is there because they're sweating and losing electrolytes for more than 2 hours. the banana provides the potassium and sugar. don't take the pickle juice unless you've been sweating for an hour
