Big developers have set their sights on the Levels. If you love the place as we do, please help us in our David and Goliath battle and support our fundraiser.

@NFUtweets And the entire country needs to look not just at how to recover from flooding but how to prevent it. Current approaches to land management aren't working.

NationCymru is confirming that Labour MS Hannah Blythyn was not the source of our story that revealed Vaughan Gething told ministerial colleagues he was deleting messages written during the Covid-19 crisis https://t.co/xmFwLjGoMy
So hang on - the whole point of the @HendreLakes scheme was the delivery of a station. And now we have to pay for the station that’s in the wrong place and has a monstrous concrete development attached to it. What the actual? https://t.co/FFOnbPdHZV
Watched these Oystercatchers 'piping' for about 10 mins St Goldcliff this morning, great spectacle to watch and listen to. @waderquest@GwentLevels @GOS_birds
Development threats from #CardiffCouncil include so-called Hendre Lakes development aiming to site massive Cardiff Parkway railway station, parking for thousands of cars & vast multi-storey industrial development on vital flood-defence SSSI Levels. Pls support @GwentLevels
This looks interesting

@FeetPetite@JGriffithsLab Yes it is worrying. @cardiffcouncil appears to have abandoned any pretence of wanting to protect the Levels. They're stuck in a 1960s timewarp of 'Pour concrete and prosper.'
Prompted by @JGriffithsLab, @vaughangething promises to continue to do everything to protect and enhance the Gwent Levels. This is welcome news indeed.
Today in FMQ's I highlighted the value of the Gwent levels for biodiversity in Wales. This is a unique and iconic area in part due to the SSSI (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) which are rich in nature and include wildlife such as the Water Vole and Shrill Carder bee.
@JGriffithsLab Thanks so much @JGriffithsLab for your tireless work to protect the future of the Levels. And @PrifWeinidog for committing to continuing the work of his predecessor.
