Labour was elected in July 2024 with an overriding promise to accelerate economic growth. We now now have its record for its first full calendar year, 2025:
Q1: 0.7%
Q2: 0.2%
Q3: 0.1%
Q4: 0.1%
So, far from stimulating the economy, the dead hand of Starmer-Reeves has knocked the stuffing out of it. They took a good start to the year and squandered it with reckless tax, spend and borrow (none of which was in their manifesto).
Our giant services sector — 2nd biggest in the world — is stagnating. Construction is in its worst state for over 4 years, with output down 2% in Q4 (which is why Labour’s promise of 1.5m new houses by 2029 is already broken).
As for GDP per capita, which was very popular among X tweeters under the Tories but not so much now (I wonder why), it fell for the second quarter in a row — so we’re effectively in a GDP/capita recession.
To take home the same amount as a three-child family with combined benefits, a worker would now require a salary of around £71,000 before tax or £90,000 to match a family with 5 kids

GROTESQUE ABUSE of taxpayers cash
Govt has just awarded £46 million contract to help Lebanese police force
While “not for profit” directors just taken out £3.6 million in one year of directors fees
Huge scandal: must be stopped
We @reformparty_uk can save billions
Mad Ed Miliband has struck again:
British solar farms are now being paid to switch off.
Yes, you read that right.
Under his lunatic net zero policies, we’re paying them to *not* generate power.
Between Feb and June alone, 5 solar farms were handed over £100,000 to stop generating electricity.
Why?
Because Miliband’s broken grid can’t cope with the power surges his own policies created.
The result?
Energy waste + higher bills.
You couldn’t make it up.
This isn’t a bug. It’s a feature of Labour’s energy madness.
Hapless taxpayers are already paying £650 million per year to wind farms to switch off.
And get this:
these insane payments will balloon to *£8 billion annually* by 2030.
Now solar farms are lining up to cash in too. All added to your bill.
Since 2002, Britain has shelled out over £200 billion subsidising renewables - almost £8,000 per household.
And still, Ed Miliband and his green lobby friends demand more.
More subsidies. More special treatment. More pain for ordinary families and businesses.
What are we getting in return?
The highest energy bills in the developed world, an unstable grid, and a growing army of green lobbyists and shareholders with their snouts in the trough.
This is not a “green transition”. It’s a racket.
His net zero zealotry is making Britain poorer, weaker, and colder.
Britain deserves better than Mad Ed’s energy insanity.
Reform will scrap net zero subsidies and make energy cheap and abundant in Britain.
Kent Conservative MP @Katie_Lam_MP shows her anger at Labour's Jess Phillips cancelling 5 inquiries into rape gangs, she quotes from a court transcript. A victim from Dewsbury was told by her abuser:
"We're here to f**k all the white girls & f**k the govt". She asks will Ms Phillips "accept that in many cases these crimes were racially & religiously aggravated?"
Do listen to it all it is shocking.
Another Billionaire leaves the U.K.
Many people are celebrating it, but it’s a complete disaster
Lakshmi Mittal has been based in the United Kingdom for THIRTY years
That’s 3 decades of employment, industry, & TAX revenue His business turns over around £50 billion a year, which means…
Billions of revenue for the U.K in VAT, corp tax, business rates, national insurance
Plus billions of salaries, pension contributions, job creation & economy
And now it will all leave, along with 20,000 other millionaires/billionaires a year
Billionaires do not leave the U.K. because they pay no tax, they leave the U.K. because they’re paying too much tax (or they can pay less somewhere else)
When will the U.K. wake up to what’s really happening?
Look at these salaries
Head of Cyber Security at the Treasury:
£57,500
Head of DEI at NHS - North East London: £91,336
You know your country is in trouble when diversity officers who do naff all are paid more than security chiefs.
Imagine waking up in Britain and reading this, which is the equivalent of what Trump is doing on Day 1:
-a national border emergency is declared
-the military is sent to the Channel to stop the boats
-a national priority is established to eliminate organised gangs on British soil and designate them "terrorists"
-new powers are granted to allow the swift detain and deportation of anybody entering Britain illegally
-all energy constraints including on North Sea gas and oil are removed, Net Zero is effectively put on pause
-fully reform the state, including making it clear civil servants who fail to comply with new gvt will be sacked
-shut down woke ideology in federal institutions and replace hiring with new merit-based hiring review
-force all civil servants back to in-person work
-restore full free speech and end federal censorship
-remove security clearances of any civil servant who has engaged in shut down of free speech
-establish biological sex definitions/bring gender ideology in public institutions to an end
-immediately end all 'Diversity, Equity and Inclusion' programmes across government
-establish a new department of government efficiency and regain centralised control over all NGO funding
-remove all state programmes that increase cost-of-living for British families and consumers
We should be slashing corporation tax, doubling the VAT threshold, increasing personal allowances, abolishing business rates for high street small firms, reducing national insurance contributions, cutting tax on salary/dividends and PLENTY more.
Here's a mad idea - reward hard work, and people might do more of it...
It's all about incentives. It really isn't complicated.
I sit in Parliament listening to Reeves and Labour MPs - honestly, they have NO idea what generates economic growth.
It isn't more regulation, it isn't more quangos, it isn't MORE Government. It's individuals, and it's bloody hard work.
Design the system around making that work pay, and we'll end up collecting far more tax. SIMPLE!
Stop supporting the indolent and start fostering the productive.
Make corporation tax the lowest in Europe. Go for it, undercut them. We should be ruthlessly competitive.
This Government's plan? Slapping an enormous tax on employment. What do these fools think will happen? Honestly. If ANY of them had any real business experience, they might understand the consequences of their actions.
I've built businesses, created jobs, invested in passionate young people. I've been there and done it. It hurts, and it can be very challenging indeed.
We need a Government that even vaguely understands it.
This one certainly does not.
This is the same media that hid the fact that a quarter million little girls were – still are – being systematically raped by migrant gangs in Britain.
They are beneath contempt. Despicable human beings.
Labour’s assault on family farms is estimated to raise £520 million a year.
At the same time, we’re spending £3 billion a year on hotels for illegal migrants.
I put this to the Labour minister. Her response will stun you.
Watch for yourselves…
Not saying Saliba wasn’t a red card, but the same VAR (Gillet) said this wasn’t a red card because of the distance to the goal. I’m sure it has nothing to do with us playing his boyhood club Liverpool next week.
