A terrible loss. A brilliant scientist from the day I met him in the 1990s as a youngish BAS secondee - David's clarity on climate science was incredible & revelationary. When he visited Mauritius in 2016 for a Presidential lecture he was as ever clear in his call for action.

It is with deep sorrow we report the death of Emeritus Fellow, Professor David Vaughan.  He was suffering from cancer and passed away peacefully at home on Thursday 9 February 2023.
