@MarkAbel_28 @beesidemyself@NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 turning up because there’s no actual evidence that it’s them. A large number will be families that can’t go to midweek games due to work commitments 2/2
@MarkAbel_28 @beesidemyself@NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 You say I agree which is why I can’t believe it’s 20% but you’ve consistently said you don’t believe it’s 10% of season ticket holders not turning up when there are numbers to back it up. If there somehow is 20% of ST holders being juniors it also doesn’t mean it’s them not 1/2
@beesidemyself @MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 Yeah I get that but this is about just empty seats from season tickets anyway there’s no actual number given on how many are kids that aren’t being filled

This Brentford article has given the perfect way to challenge this making those tickets available for others and it’s really not that hard to do if we use a decent ticketing site
@MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 All of these are from the last few years, the number of season ticket holders not going to every game is progressively getting higher. There was one I couldn’t find again from around 2012 where it was 2% of season ticket holders don’t turn up. Over a 14 year period it’s increased
@MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 For a game and hopefully that will be sorted in the next couple of seasons under new progressive ownership 3/3
@MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 last season where they can re list their season tickets for a game when they aren’t going. The overall ticketing system is a problem there’s not an influx of people buying a child’s season ticket. I can assure you it really isn’t incredibly hard to be able to reassign a seat 2/3
@MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 be ironed out or even do what Brentford did when they had similar numbers, of being able to make your ST available when you know you aren’t going to be at a game 2/2
@MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 But these numbers aren’t outliers compared to the rest of the pyramid so there clearly isn’t an issue due to pricing. The 10% not coming would even be lower if what you’re saying about 25k being closer to the capacity is true. There may be a few people that do it but they can 1/2
@MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 Our capacity is around the 26,500 mark I believe so a sell out would be about 24,500 for us. Where has this idea that loads of people just buy a kids ST so that they can get an extra ticket for an cup game come from? 2/2
@MarkAbel_28 @NMoczadlo @barnard_na98897 So it probably ended around the 20k mark for season tickets sold, at most levels around 10% of ST holders won’t turn up for a game so we’ll call it 2k. This has been studied abroad a few times and I also know it from experience. 1/2
