@VladVexler I have never used Uber and only rarely used London taxis. I use a power chair and I am tall so I do not fit in most models. I only fit in the latest electric London Taxi. None of the Uber models I've seen are not tall enough.
I usually take a bus or train. https://t.co/2DYRw9I5d0

Note ramp is long enough even without a kerb. Not easy to get in by any means, but possible. I'll still take a bus if I can, but it's nice to know if I'm stuck somewhere, this is possible.
@Christiane It's also a privacy issue. With cash payments you don't have payment processors building a profile of your purchasing habits to sell to advertisers.
@everyoneisdumb I'm looking at this old C500 again. If I was able to connect a programmer to it, is there a way to override the now permanent turtle setting in software so it could go normal speed again?
@everyoneisdumb Do you happen to know where the microswitches are for a C500 standing chair for the standing actuator? I can drive the C500 if it's standing up, but on the way down ICS lights turn red and it won't drive any more. Someone suggested a bad microswitch…
@everyoneisdumb Thanks. I haven't found a manual either. I tried doing an autocalibration but it just doesn't seem to work. Lights blink after turning on and holding down 3, 5, 6, but pressing 4 does nothing when the lights are blinking red.
@kissalts_@BFI One wouldn't know it from their website, which still says there's no step-free access https://t.co/kid12F9Zzu
I'm glad at least someone knows and is willing to share that knowledge! Thank you.
@kissalts_@BFI Thank you @kissalts_, you've provided so much more information than @BFI did. Their website says:
"There is currently no step-free access to the auditorium or first-floor concessions."
I wasn't even sure what that meant.
@flowergirl_lon@SouthernRailUK@EHRC@Heidi_Labour@TransportCttee@Tanni_GT That is so very frustrating. You shouldn't need to be an expert in strategies to just be able travel while using a wheelchair.
Be careful with dispatches, especially at Liverpool Street. I once had one get dispatched as I was inches away, trying to reach the door button. Scary.
@LordOrk@WestMidRailway@LevelBoarding It's depressing that this keeps happening. Level boarding trains have been available for so long but now inaccessible trains will be inaccessible for so long, requiring manual boarding ramps which result in delay and failed assistance.
@Doug_Paulley What an incredibly useless and actually demeaning answer. Are they trying to blame you somehow for the failure of the Help Point to deliver any help?
@blue_nose_amy@Christiane@benn_elisbenn I did write to building control for a restaurant that added a step at the entrance during a refurbishment some years ago. It took more than five years but they were eventually forced to restore step free access. (I chased with an email about once a year.) (5/5)
@flowergirl_lon@OrMakeOne Very nice. And never have to worry about a ramp getting misplaced or stolen.
Interesting that 10 years ago, according to Google Street View, the same location, different business, had access too, with a portable ramp that was left in place https://t.co/o9t6PuhRZS
@annalandre@TLRailUK That's so kind of you to provide access information to @TLRailUK about their own network. It might be useful for them to know this in case anyone else who uses a wheelchair wishes to travel with them.
