A career like no other.
You could be teaching prisoners new skills, supporting a young person or analysing the risk of offenders in the community.
It's an extraordinary job, done by someone like you

Speaking on @BBCRadioWales' Country Focus programme, Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology, Dr Libby Payne outlines how her research at @HMPPrescoed suggests working with dairy cows could help with rehabilitation and reduce reoffending amongst prisoners.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

We know the importance of visiting a loved one in prison, it helps to strengthen and maintain a bond which is vital for reducing reoffending. We want to ensure you have a smooth visit, so check out these reminders and visit our page for more information⬇️

🌿Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do at @HMPPrescoed
We have recently opened a new work boot sterilising unit and have linked up with @HMPSwansea and @HMPCardiff to save on average £18 per pair of boots cleaning and sterilising old pairs to be used again🥾
🐮 We’re udderly inspired by Cilwgri Farm in @HMPPrescoed.
Prisoners are learning to use an advanced robotic system that allows cows to volunteer to be milked.
This approach provides prisoners with agricultural qualifications and better job prospects after release.
