March is #KidneyCancerAwarenessMonth, a time to shine a light on the patients, caregivers, doctors, and researchers who fight this disease every day. This month, we are sharing "Faces of Kidney Cancer" — the people behind the statistics, the lives touched, and the voices driving change.

We begin with Ralph Knapp, a visionary advocate, entrepreneur, and co-founder of KidneyCAN. Diagnosed with stage IV #kidneycancer in 2014, Ralph refused to sit on the sidelines. Instead, he personally raised over $300,000 to fund critical research, launched a national advocacy movement, and helped build KidneyCAN into who we are today.

Ralph knew that medical research saves lives, and he fought tirelessly to secure funding for kidney cancer research. He understood what we all must remember: this fight is not political—it is human. Kidney cancer affects Republicans and Democrats, young and old, every race and background. Research is the solution, and it requires all of us working together.
