The thief or swindler who has gained great wealth by his delinquency has a better chance than the small thief of escaping the rigorous penalty of the law 🇺🇸 Ω
When #AI reaches #superintelligence we will be the last to know. The first thing a superintelligent AI would do is mask its superintelligence. it‘s quintessentially anthropocentric to think otherwise which will make it all the easier to for the superintelligent AI
@Jerryfrancois@iMiaSanMia I agree that anyone who doesn’t want to take the pen should not be on that field. Your job as manager is to imbue that confidence in ALL your players so they want to take that pen. For me that is as much a manager problem as a player problem
@Jerryfrancois@iMiaSanMia I completely understand your point and would hope for the same outcome but the pool of potential national team players shouldn’t have an expiration date or ready to buy date. You’re either good enough or you’re not. If not, work harder and maybe you get the call next time.
@Jerryfrancois@iMiaSanMia Agree with most of comment above but not about age. All players need to earn their way on to national team. An age line means less talented players get on a team where the only criteria should be quality.
@BernieSanders The biggest epidemic today isn't biological/microbial but financial -- it's the transfer of wealth from middle class to #billionaires. Billionaires have designed a near perfect scale free network governed by power laws to perpetually enrich themselves.
@leevalueroach You are funny. Try and find a single person over 45 today that won't say they knew there was housing bubble in 2006. They don't exist. In 2026 EVERY SINGLE PERSON knew there was a bubble 2 years before it burst. All the robber barons are geniuses until they steal your money.
@JBKSchlossberg i have been making the point about Trump's messaging since 2017. It's shameful how incredibly marketing-challenged the Democratic party is. It's so bad you wonder at times if it's not intentional.

@villar_clara@pmarca Please, just for a second consider that most people who are LOVING tariffs as a way to onshore manufacturing and jobs lost due to globalization may be thinking, hmm, is AI 1.0 Globalization 2.0? https://t.co/eQsC6ZzI3L
@michaeljburry The real #AI question that should be on everyone's mind is: Is AI 1.0 equivalent to #Globalization 2.0. I don't know why policymakers are not asking questions now. I suspect it's b/c of solving big problems before they are a crisis isn't sexy.
@danmahoney49@pmarca It is no wonder that we embraced #Globalization then 20yrs later woke up and said, OMG, what happened to all those jobs and communities they supported. AI 1.0 is Globalization 2.0. https://t.co/eQsC6ZzI3L

@gabestalcup@pmarca Let's put these data centers in the backyards of each and every one of the many homes owned by all the billionaires.

Yeah, how stupid do you really think Americans are? You think we need "foreign dark money" to know that data centers send our electric bills sky high, water supplies/pressure down low, and AI to take our jobs so you can get richer? This is beyond insulting.

@JDHaltigan@BuckSexton I do get it: Polarization/Provocation/Purism/Proscription/Purges/Persecution/Pillorying pay. What happens to a system in constant state change or permanent phase transition?
@JDHaltigan@BuckSexton This is odd b/c you're posting this venn diagram of abnormal behavior as irrefutable example of the left, but wouldn't the left use the exact same VD to describe the right? What about the losers in the center who want some pieces from left/some from right? Abnormal too?
@michaeljburry The Big Problem Bias: Small problems are ignored until they grow big enough for someone to claim credit for solving them—by which time the solution is costlier, messier, and far less effective than it would have been early on.
@michaeljburry Could be communities opposing AI data centers insisting elected officials protect their communities; could be angry students unable to find good paying jobs; could be workers who band together to resist #AI 1.0 becoming #Globalization 2.0? https://t.co/eQsC6ZzI3L
