The Chinese government is perfectly content with a war-torn, chaotic Myanmar, so long as the problems don't spill across the border but the minerals do. https://t.co/6FjlJKvV13

The No. 7 Battalion of the People Defense Force (PDF) - Pakkoku has dramatically showcased a successful ambush operation against the junta's security forces. In a strategic maneuver, their forces engaged a convoy comprising a car and a truck, resulting in the elimination of multiple junta soldiers and the seizure of valuable weapons. The operation is codenamed "Operaiton Su".
The event took place on June 16, 2026, in the Seihphyu township of the Pakkuko district in Magway division.
Thinking of Mother Suu on her #81stBirthday. It’s infuriating that the world is staying silent while the military hides her away for the past 5 years.
We just want to know if she’s okay.
We demand #ProofOfLife for our beacon of hope.

This is a rare video from the junta regime's side.
A soldier from the junta has recorded a live video that depicts numerous junta personnel marching towards a town near Tamu in the Sagaing region. The video demonstrates how these junta soldiers indiscriminately open fire on local villages.

HURFOM field reporters documented that at around 1:00 am on 18 June 2026, Junta aircraft attacked the NMSP’s Nippon Foundation-supported housing project and nearby Mayan Chaung village areas, following night-time aerial surveillance over the area.
According to local residents, Junta Y-8 and Y-12 aircraft were seen flying low between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm on 17 June. The aircraft reportedly circled over mountain areas and near villages before the early morning attack.
“The aircraft were flying very low for surveillance. They were not like helicopters. They looked more like fighter jets. They circled around the mountains and near the villages. At around 1:00 am, they came and attacked with fighter jets. Based on the surveillance they carried out during the night, they targeted the NMSP housing area donated by the Nippon Foundation, as well as nearby Mayan Chaung village areas. People had already fled during the night, so we have not heard of any casualties yet,” said Nai H---, 40, an anti-airstrike and military observer.
Nai O-- T--, 35 year old IDP villager, originally from Kyaung Ywa, eastern Ye Township, Mon State, said that since late May, the Junta appears to have increased aerial surveillance in NMSP areas to monitor the movement of revolutionary forces, control militarily important routes, and prepare for possible air attacks at any time.
The attack comes amid a wider pattern of Junta aerial bomb attacks in HURFOM target documentation areas. On 12 June, the military junta carried out airstrikes on Kawk Bein Village, Kawkareik Township, Karen State, after resistance forces attacked Junta troops stationed inside the village, according to local residents.
On the morning of 12 June, resistance forces attacked Junta troops based in Kawk Bein Village, and the clash lasted for several minutes. Later that evening, the Junta responded with aerial bomb attacks on villages in and around the Kawk Bein area. A local man said one bomb landed in a plantation area. No civilian injuries were immediately reported, but the attack caused fear among residents and disrupted children’s education.
Between 12 and 15 June, the Junta carried out at least five aerial attacks in Kaw Bein village and southern Kawkareik areas, injuring two others, according to HURFOM documentation.
“Every time we hear an aircraft or drone, the children stop learning and look at us with fear. Many of them have already fled from their homes once, and now even in the IDP area they do not feel safe. As teachers, we try to keep classes going, but we also have to think about where to run, which road is safe, and how to protect the children if bombs fall nearby. What we need most is early warning, clear information, and safe evacuation routes. Without that, we are teaching under the sky with fear every day.” a 34-year-old CDM school teacher serving IDP children originally from Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State.
