@Laurentit @SimamoraDupito For me, the enabler for intercropping is the adoption of the double row avenue planting system which incorporates broad avenues for crop, livestock & other facilities integration.

@SimamoraDupito It would be great if more smallholders practise such intercropping & livestock integration on their farms. If they already practiced polyculture, then they could organise it in a more systematic way.

The #compost I make on the farm is used back on the farm ... and also sold in the community. Here I stand by a customer's pickup truck already loaded up with packed compost.

@togarino They probably don't understand that if part of the certified sustainable palm oil is banned, the corresponding amount of "Planet" element that had co-existed with, or resulted from, the oil palms will disappear.

@hongwaionn And I heard that oil palm fronds (tons of them on farms & plantations) can be fed into a gasifier to produce heat energy & biochar.

On my #oilpalmfarm, #organicwastes such as weeds, grass cuttings, sheep dung & post-harvest inter-crop materials are utilised for compost making, it being an aspect of #wastemanagement.
