@shell_bell_81@Herts_Highways It opens last night and literally everything is closed up and done. I even spoke to one of the people working on it yesterday and he said it should be open yesterday so just seems like they have no idea what’s going on!
@UKPowerNetworks It already is closed up- that’s what makes it hard to understand. I was able to drive that way yesterday evening and then now it’s closed again. Makes no sense
@Herts_Highways@shell_bell_81 This is still closed now after the date shown. It’s adding a huge amount of time to my journey as we live just after the closure? When will it reopen?
Very excited that @charitydigicode is going to be updated in 2025 to include guidance for the sector on #ArtificialIntelligence . Kudos to @CharityDigiOrg for their hard work on the funding. Can’t wait to get started.
@alistrathern I feel like most of these emails have been from me 🤣 grateful for all your replies and interventions which I know isn’t the case with a lot of MPs
Unfortunately a meeting doesn’t really change much. Still no action from @AnglianWater to clear up sewage and no immediate action from anyone to help residents. Meetings don’t help!
Flooding Update: A🧵
Its been heartbreaking speaking to families and businesses affected by flooding over recent weeks.
As part of my continued commitment to support our impacted communities locally, this afternoon I convened a meeting with the Chief Executives of Herts County Council and North Herts Council, along with council officers, local Cllrs and representatives from the Environment Agency, Anglian Water and the Fire and Rescue Service to help answer questions from residents in the wake of the recent flooding and push for robust next steps to ensure different bodies work collaboratively to 1) support residents still in need 2) learn lessons from the immediate response and 3) improve local flood resilience. (We are in the process of setting up a similar meeting with the relevant Central Beds stakeholders too).
Had ANOTHER person come to look at our drains yesterday but a week on and @AnglianWater still think it’s acceptable not to have cleaned up sewage. How can they leave it that long??
We are flooding again. This time with the joy of sewage coming out the drain. Thanks to @AnglianWater for saying it could be a week before they come?! How is that even safe? We need help now @alistrathern
@NorthHertsDC There isn’t enough people to help deliver them. It’s too slow (and the attitude of the people delivering is so bad! We’ve been through a lot and they are so unwilling to help!)
Flooded again. But counting the positives and thank you to the endless work of the #firebrigade for doing everything they can to reassure us and keep us safe
