Marriage is meant to be a peaceful existence – not superiority or control, but mutual cover, protection, and beauty. Like garments (libās), spouses should shield, comfort, and adorn each other through highs and lows. Expect humanity, not perfection.
‘They are your garments and you are their garments’ (Quran 2:187).
Wallahi, we really forget that akhlaq and adab are some of the most important parts of our deen. Your manners, how you treat people, Your actions, and your behaviour are all part of your Deen.
If you can’t muster up the courage to ask for help, do not let this turn into resentment towards others.
Do not pass off your cowardice as benevolence - “I just don’t want to bother anyone.”
No, you simply fear rejection and judgement.
The big lie is that the "Arabs" came to displace the "original" Israelite population. The reality is that religions came and went, the population stayed largely the same. Palestinians are the closest to ancient Israelites. They converted to Christianity then Islam.
I hear there is this Scandinavian pagan cult that worships ancient Greek gods that is calling its constituents to migrate to Athens, & ethnically cleanse the local non-pagan (Christian) Greeks, while instituting Apartheid on the remaining ones.
I know it makes no sense but...
@tyson_Sandwitch@sully_fam@7signxx May Allah SWT reward you for your humility brother and may we all be guided to respond with wisdom and beautiful patience, for the Quran reminds us, 'Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better' (Fussilat 41:34) In sha Allah, our gentle words can open hearts.
@FuniculaCuli@firdauslara @ukintrouble @Tanishaevonne This hadith needs context. Islam explicitly forbids targeting women/children in numerous authentic hadiths. Scholars explain this refers to unintentional casualties in night raids, not permission to harm civilians. The Prophet PBUH consistently protected non-combatants.
@tyson_Sandwitch@sully_fam@7signxx The brother might have asked with sincerity. Don’t attribute to malice what can be attributed to ignorance. As muslims, we must enlighten in a courteous manner.
the deeper you go into any one thing, the more you find everything else quietly waiting there. steve reich discovered this in music: "whatever you pursue, if you really begin to pursue it thoroughly and you really get into many, many aspects of it, it flowers and blooms and begins to get into areas you never would have imagined were possible." what begins as music becomes maths becomes architecture, becomes nature. five hundred years before him, musashi found this through the sword - "from one thing, know ten thousand things." follow any thread deep enough and you'll find it's woven into everything.
