Hearing Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone" in 2026 makes me think this song was a gift from NHI.

That opening synth still hits like a signal, short repeating pulses that feel almost like Morse code. The idea landed with Dutch producers in the late '90s, they executed it, and it was meant to reach us.

The official video now sits at about 438 million YouTube views since it went up in 2010. Instantly recognizable in the first 20 seconds. The widely seen clip is colorful, patterned, and pretty clean: dance footage most cultures can watch without anything scandalous getting in the way.

Then the lyrics drop like a message aimed at us:
"Do you think you're better off alone?"
"Talk to me."

It reads like higher intelligence asking if isolation is really the path, then offering contact. Isolation isn't the answer. Reach out.

Who knows. I am relieved of never touching these platforms again. I vividly remember my last days before switching careers. Trying to optimize and weed out anything WP or plugins that make things slower.

Writing up documentation of my Gutenberg editor creations for clientele and demonstrating how they work. Browsing GitHub wondering if workarounds and broken things will ever get fixed.

The CMS industry is not done, but will shift to AI as well.
I do not miss Stack Overflow/Exchange.
