Iran is shifting its trade operations from Jebel Ali Port to Gwadar Port to improve supply chain security and reduce dependence on external transit hubs. This move is expected to strengthen Pakistan–Iran trade and reshape regional trade connectivity.
Five years after the Taliban takeover, broken promises, ideological extremism have delivered neither stability nor prosperity only isolation, poverty and immense human suffering.
Roughly up to 23.8 million people are surviving on less than $3.00 a day. As we enter 2026, 21.9 million people require urgent humanitarian assistance just to survive. The Afghan economy has faced a massive 25–30% contraction since 2021.
As Afghanistan sinks deeper into economic fragility, gender apartheid and regional tension, its people continue to pay the heaviest price for a regime that prioritizes ideology over national interest.
Ta-liban commander Abdul Hamid Khurasani has reportedly appeared in Kunar with armed fighters, stating they await leadership orders to begin action against Pakistan, a move analysts say contradicts claims of governance and highlights continued militancy. For over a century, the Hazara people have been Afghanistan's most persecuted ghost surviving massacres, enslavement, and exclusion. From mass killings to modern-day exclusion, their story traces a shift from physical annihilation to political and civic disappearance. Once a visible force in education and public life, they now face near-total erasure under the current order. This is an unfolding crisis of identity, survival, and resistance.

Editorial:
Diplomacy around Islamabad highlights shifting geopolitical dynamics as the US pauses engagement while Iran continues indirect talks. Amid uncertainty, Pakistan remains a key mediator, keeping fragile channels of dialogue open.
There are moments in the study of information warfare when a single platform reveals so much about the ambitions of its architects that it ceases to be a subject of media criticism and becomes a window into the strategic mind of a hostile state apparatus. Al-Mirsad is precisely such a platform. Launched in 2023 and operating as the intelligence-aligned media arm of the Afghan Taliban, it represents the most sophisticated, coordinated and ideologically lethal propaganda instrument yet deployed against Pakistan’s institutional integrity, social cohesion and international standing.

The Wall Street Journal's recent op-ed by Sadanand Dhume, "Hatred of Israel Holds Pakistan Back," misrepresents economic data as a diplomatic failure. Analyzing Pakistan’s economic trajectory requires looking at data rather than narrative. Far from being "held back," Pakistan’s economy shows recovery momentum with FY2026 GDP growth projections of 3% and record-breaking remittances of $35 B.

This isn’t a trade revolution, yet. It’s a transition phase, where foundations are being laid for a more connected and diversified economic future.
