"George Gilder’s essay “Sexual Suicide” (1973), a landmark attack on feminism and warning for the future, revisited and reappraised at 50-year mark"

@Steve_Sailer@KlausJennings@SeanTrende I think the heavy presence of Jews in NYC (the takeover of NYC by Jews as quasi-dominant white ethnic group), started w German-speaking Jews piggbybacking/wedging with Germans who'd come to NYC in mid-late 19th century. Language familiarity an inroad; in time, pushed Germans out.
@Steve_Sailer@Kurt_Steiner (1.) Was it a surprise Delaware in 2000 went 55-42 for Gore over GWBush? (Against the 2000 national popular vote of 48-48, a decisive win for Gore.)
(2.) Would David Hackett Fischer claim his theory about white settlement patterns centuries ago would apply to Delaware in 2000?
@Steve_Sailer@frankieboy1@Zigmanfreud@MLB It's been suggested that Paul Blair of the Orioles was gay.
"[T]he gay acquaintance who told me [Paul Blair was gay] also pretty reliably named other then-in-the-closet celebrities who later came out, so I give it weight."
@BisionNewbie@cremieuxrecueil@Romy_Holland The meta-story in the graph at the top of this chain is IMO misleading, which is why I'm bothering to write in.
The real meta-story: the real depth of NK's economic woes are bc of the collapse of the Soviet bloc late 1980s/early 90s.
SK's patron was always richer, no collapse.
@BisionNewbie@cremieuxrecueil@Romy_Holland Estimates vary, but NK>SK in GDP/capita is at least thru late 1960s. @cremieuxrecueil's graph seems to rely on thin data. Much better data is available.
Also, "overtaken" is subject to a few possible definitions. If it's "decisively overtaken," it could easily be mid-late 1980s.
@herandrews@Steve_Sailer I thought Chirayu Rana, the JP Morgan sex accuser, must have had a Thai connection.
Chirayu said to be a Thai name. Granted the Thai-Buddhist cultural zone owes much to India/Nepal, birthplace of Buddhsim.
Rana seems definitely Hindu as a family-name.
@cremieuxrecueil@Romy_Holland This is not good data. The graph should never have been made. The Angus Maddison data is interesting for distant historical estimates but not here.
1st, there's a range of uncertainty.
2nd, it's widely understood NK>SK in per-capita GDP until some point (1965? 1975? Even 1985)
@Steve_Sailer@SocratesGBruno Cristian Roldan is a Central-American-origin Mestizo and was on the US World Cup roster in 2022 (I don't think got any playing-time). Growing up in LA (parents immig. 1980s), Roldan is effectively a Mexican (arguably).
It's true there is a USMNT ideological push for part-Blacks.
@charlesmurray "What ethnic group is not inherently clannish?"
This is a way of asking about the sociological concept of Social Trust (high-trust vs. low-trust societies).

@Steve_Sailer From movie review of "The Brothers" (March 23, 2001, by Steve Sailer for UPI):
"A very funny Tamala Jones plays his wife. She’s got a round face with bulging round eyes, perfect for her role as a sort of black Betty Boop."
In 2001 you believed Betty Boop definitely white!🤔
