This pandemic has been a long haul, and I worry that Albertans may be starting to tune the messages out. If anyone is tired of following the public health guidance, or feels that they are not at risk, please remember that your actions are protecting more than yourself. (6/x)
If anyone is tired of following public health guidance, or feels they are not at risk of #COVID19AB, please remember the importance of your actions. Every one of us acts as a shield that protects our friends, families and neighbours.
Congratulations to Dr. Lindsay Crowshoe, MD, who has won the Dr. Thomas Dignan Indigenous Health Award for his work influencing policy development, decolonizing medical education and facilitating resilience. @UCalgaryMed@UCalgaryFamMed@Royal_College https://t.co/eRyYQZceIq
I know this has been and continues to be a stressful time. Increased use of alcohol and cannabis consumption can cause other health problems. Alberta’s Addiction Helpline is available 24-7, toll-free at 1-866-332-2322.
Dear Dr. Fabreau,

Pleased to report that within the first two days of Alberta’s mask initiative, over 2 million masks have been distributed to Albertans through drive-thrus at A&W, Tim Hortons & McDonald’s.
An excellent result so far & at no cost to AB taxpayers for packaging or distribution. 1/4
AHS front-line healthcare providers from across the province come together in this video to remind Albertans public health guidelines are still in effect and to urge everyone to follow the guidelines to keep themselves and others safe from #COVID19.
Humbled to get to work with the likes @DrShawnQI @eddeestyle@socmobem, @EddyLang1 and Amy Cheng on this paper on A&F for emergency physicians. Thanks @CJEMonline for publishing this.
If we go back to the old normal we have lost a great opportunity. Many factors contributed to improved ED flow and hospital capacity. Mostly a willingness of the system to come together and prevent a dangerous and unsafe situation in acute care. Sound familiar? Déjà Vu?
As we all begin to enjoy being out in public settings, I want to remind everyone that it is EXTREMELY important to maintain a minimum distance of 2 metres from others. Remember to avoid touching rails, garbage cans or other high touch surfaces. Please stay safe.
Family doctors are still providing care to patients & I want to encourage anyone who needs care to call their doctor. Most family doctors can do virtual visits by phone or other means & can determine how to best get patients the care they need.
We are grateful for our physicians, caring for patients and families in our hospitals. We work closely in partnership with our docs, who have helped us in immeasurable ways during this pandemic. Thank you Physicians, you are amazing! Happy #NationalPhysiciansDay! #beatCovid19

Today is National Physicians' Day, and we honour the more than 10,000 physicians caring for Albertans each and every day. Thank you for everything you do.
Donated SPRUNG structure to support COVID pandemic capacity at the Peter Lougheed Centre going up quickly! Thank you @AHS_YYCZone@AHS_media @AHS_Innovates
