@ACSOMPOD Keep up the good work PJ, which will probably need renewed effort after the Cup Final because there’s a moronic section of our support who can’t help themselves & will keep giving hostages to fortune. Any transgression on Saturday will be broadcast far & wide as told-you-so.
@ronniethetim@Rokewood@GerryHassan Match was not abandoned. Referee ended the game.
You may think it *should* have been abandoned (though that needs at least an attempt at clearing the pitch & a restart) but in fact it wasn’t.
@Slimshady1961@EasyPeasy_3@ScotlandSky And the “not clear & obvious error” is irrelevant as that wasn’t what was in play. VAR judged that Beaton overlooked it completely, ie it was a “serious missed incident”, which is grounds for delay & a review.
@Slimshady1961@EasyPeasy_3@ScotlandSky I agree it’s difficult to be sure of things from that one angle. (So, it’s a judgment call…) That said, arguments used here are mince: (a) his arm is up long before Trusty contact, re pushing up, and (b) it’s quite possible the ball hits *both* head & hand, re rebound aspect
@Inthecountry76@CllrPaulwells@brodie_prime Not really. Principle behind it makes perfect sense, trying mitigate against unfairness of FPTP. Mechanism used is something you can quibble over, tho’.
@GlamSlam72@gwpurnell Interesting that the sleeve has the title in the singular, though it’s not what he sings (and not how it appeared on Hunky Dory).
