@InVerso52749182@AKEndfield I don't like timer too, but handicap was already a thing in Arknights's CC though. Unable to play around handicap is a skill issue
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG It's not the same. VLR, LOL or DotA are team games, sometime it's not your fault for losing the game. Fighting games are mostly 1v1 games, you have to do everything
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG And just accept it lah 🥲 OP mentioned that fighting games doesn't need to change, and "Fighting games do not have mass appeal, will never have mass appeal, and that’s okay, but you need to accept it"
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG As I mentioned before, in lower ranks, 10 bullets is more than enough to kill someone. You just need to pull the mouse down.
In fighting games, not every attacks are the same. Some are minus on block, some are plus on block, players have to predict and react to it
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG Not really, because newcomers in fighting games needs to learn how to BLOCK and not pressing the wrong button. In FPS games, shooting kills the target but in fighting games, frame advantage exists
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG And the other difference is the first thing newcomers need to learn in FPS games is how to shoot, but the first thing newcomers need to learn in fighting games is how NOT to fight
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG Erm... No?
You will be right IF fighting games have as much players (and newcomers) as other game genres. Fighting games is still quite niche to begin with, and some FG "newcomers" actually had previous experiences from other fighting games title so yeah
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG No? There aren't that much players who have the same skill level as a complete newcomer in fighting games. Newbie can't just "fuck it we balls" like in other games, they will learn nothing from it.
At least doing this in shooting games, MOBA,... let newbies learn something
@Paybackaiw@KarkatSG In Asian CS servers, everyone was like "fuck it we balls" and go kill each other like no tomorrow. It's all about aim and movement in lower ranks, but people will learn strats, smokes and stuffs in higher ranks
@PhillyCentral@pcgamer Godot don't want AI codes in their project anymore because they want every contributor to have more actual responsibility with their codes and besides, they want codes writen by actual human.
WTF are you talking about?
@PawnDriver@pcgamer Tons of things has (or at least had) AI codes nowadays.
Godot just don't accept it anymore because reviewer shortage, demoralizing effects, and lack of responsibility from those "contributors"
