I swear man. People critical of Tim Sweeny right now like bro never did anything. I'll have you know I was there 3000 years ago when he setup the most robust software rendering model that every existed. High FPS with color lighting. Large open world environments in an fps. Some of the smartest most reactive AI.

He built a fucking chunk of the entire game industry. Bro did so much. And now we see people acting like he isn't someone just because they are butt hurt about AI changing the industry. I see shit like this and how fake and performative it is and just makes me lose respect.

I don't even want to be a part of an industry if it looks down at a guy like Sweeny. Like if these people were in charge and forced Sweeny out, I wouldn't want to be a part of that garbage fake ass, anti-progress system.

I stopped giving a fuck awhile ago but shit like this makes me even more sure. Its so fucking dumb man. Giving this guy, someone who has done so much for the entire game industry, someone who has been a pillar for so many years, bullying and death threats. All because he is objectively right about new technology and the direction things are going.

It's pretty disappointing honestly.

I am reaching an inflection point mentally lately and its getting more clear over time. I am starting to view anything about the AI debate as spam. There is no debate, either you get with it or you don't. Meaningless spam.

Meaningless because no matter how loud luddites get people just continue using it. I mean look at yourselves, luddites. This is pathetic, if you had any power this shit would have been banned somehow years ago. Nobody fucking cares, nobody will care. It's just noise.

The only content I want to consume lately is how to best adapt to new trends and thoughts around the world we are moving into. The old days are fucking dead man, absolutely fucking dead. We are not going back, stop acting like we are. Just fucking stop...

What are we even doing? Like seriously. My feed is mostly braindead luddites whining about shit that's never going to change in their favor. Everything is going to continue forward and nothing about what they say actually effects brass tax.

What's the incentive to even argue with them? It's less competition if they refuse to update. I'm kind of just done with this entire thing. I just want to tune it all out and focus on what the fuck to do next.
