@gavinortlund I think it could do a lot of good to examine and critique Christian Universalism! Origen and Clement of Alexandria are often cited as supports, Thomas Talbott’s The Inescapable Love of God is a solid representation of that view.

Absolutely not. The means of the 1st is faith (Rom 3:21-4:8, Gal 3:1-14). The means of the 2nd is the fruit of faith, works (1 Jn 2:3-6, Jam 2:14-26). And Christ grounds both.

If these were actual contradictions, we'd have to deny at least some of the dots. "No angels appeared" vs. "Two angels appeared", for example. We'd have to deny at least one.

God has utterly transformed my life through the Bible- but even if that possibility doesn't interest you, it's still the most influential and fascinating work of literature ever.

@InternetH0F ...... It takes a few seconds to look at the passage and see that God married them. "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his WIFE, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his WIFE were both naked and were not ashamed." (Gen 2:24-25)
