رئيس الجمهورية العماد جوزاف عون لوفد الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر:

• يجب الضغط على إسرائيل كي تحترم القوانين والاتفاقيات الدولية والكف عن استهداف المدنيين والمسعفين والدفاع المدني والهيئات الإنسانية الصحية والاغاثية.
• الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية مستمرة في الجنوب على رغم الإعلان عن وقف اطلاق النار، وكذلك هدم المنازل وأماكن العبادة وجرفها، فيما اعداد الضحايا والجرحى يرتفع يوما بعد يوم.
• الاعتداءات لا تستثني المسعفين والمتطوعين الذين سقط منهم حتى الان نحو 17 مسعفا من الصليب الأحمر اللبناني وهيئات إنسانية أخرى، فضلا عن استهداف الإعلاميين.
• ما يقوم به المتطوعون لإنقاذ المصابين، عمل يشكل قمة التضحية وبذل الذات في سبيل الرسالة الإنسانية التي آمنوا بها، وصولا الى حد الاستشهاد على رغم ان المهمات الانقاذية التي يتولون تنفيذها يتم الإبلاغ عنها مسبقا لتأمين الحماية اللازمة لها.
• اجدد الدعوة الى مساعدة لبنان في معرفة مصير الاسرى اللبنانيين في السجون الإسرائيلية والتي ترفض إسرائيل حتى الان السماح للجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر بالتواصل معهم والاطمئنان عن صحتهم وطمأنة ذويهم والدولة اللبنانية.

Our medics were not missing… they were buried.
Buried beneath a silence heavier than words, and beneath pain beyond endurance.
The survivor, Asaad Al-Nassasra, speaks—his voice bearing witness to loss;
to companions who left with him on a humanitarian mission, but he returned alone… leaving them under the soil without a farewell.
And on March 30, 2025, the truth emerged as it is:
bodies concealed, souls departed, and a wound that will never close.
They were deliberately killed by Israeli occupation forces.

We @ifrc are proud to have partnered with the @QRCS in delivering a dynamic workshop focused on strengthening capacities in Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (PMER) and Accountability. With over 25 participants attending in person and more than 60 joining virtually, the workshop served as a valuable platform for learning, exchange, and collaboration.

No one wearing a vest with a Red Cross or Red Crescent should ever be a target.

In Shamaa, Tayr Harfa, and Mreijeh, she witnessed the devastation firsthand but also the unwavering dedication of Lebanese Red Cross staff & volunteers.
