In the Supreme Court hearing for Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, and Gulfisha Fatima, what surfaced was a chilling reminder of how India’s justice system treats dissenters, especially when they bear a Muslim name.

Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal told the court:

— 55 dates: Judge on leave
— 26 dates: Court had no time
— 59 dates: Prosecutor absent

Delhi Police insists “the accused are delaying the trial.”

That’s over 140 hearings lost, not because of the accused, but because the system simply didn’t show up. 751 FIRs were filed after the Delhi riots. Umar Khalid’s name appears in just one.

No trial. No conviction. Yet five years in jail.

If this is how justice works in the Mother of Democracy, then perhaps justice itself has been detained.

Yes, some adjournments were requested like in many complex cases based on the scenario.
But 5 years in jail without trial cannot be justified by procedural delays.
Bail and fair trial are constitutional rights, not privileges.

So here's the truth about Ram Gopal Mishra's death.

1. No torture.
2. Only shot once, resulting in pellet wounds.
3. Died from massive blood loss.
4. The nails were not removed.
5. There were no other wounds than pellet bullets.
