Pakistan’s total health spending in 2021–22 was about PKR 1,962 billion.

Government share was only about PKR 806 billion.

That means the health system is being asked to carry a huge national burden with limited public funding.

Doctors are the engine of the health system.

If you keep the engine underpaid, overworked and unsupported, the system will eventually break down and patients will suffer first.

The burden keeps shifting to hospitals, doctors and patients.

You cannot run healthcare on sacrifice forever.

Fund health.
Pay doctors.
Protect patients.
