And I must give kudos to @tokunbo_wahab and his team for the wonderful job they are doing on Lagos. The will is clearly visible. And you know what they say, “where there is a will, there is way”
At the recently concluded Lagos International Water Conference, I was privileged to form part of a panel which discussed “Sustainable Financing for Water and Sanitation in a Subnational”.
@LIWACLAGOS is shaping up to become that platform where water sector solutions are curated
@supersanusi@hydronamics_ng has a product that does this seamlessly and effectively. It's a Nigerian company founded by @Hamzarion
Some households in Abuja already have their water purification system installed and it works really well.
@hydronamics_ng is excited to be part of this initiative, which is geared towards revolutionizing water supply in Katsina State. Our partnership with KTSG and CEEC marks a significant step towards achieving our shared goal of enhancing water service delivery and efficiency.
Katsina State Signs MOU Aimed at Improving Urban Water Supply, as well as the Deployment of Water Technology Infrastructure in the State
Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has directed the immediate commencement of a crucial project aimed at enhancing urban water supply and infrastructure. Known as the "New Agenda," this project was officially kickstarted during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the state government and the China Energy & Engineering Group of Companies (CEEC) and Hydronamics Limited at the Government House in Katsina.
During the signing ceremony, Governor Malam Dikko Radda expressed the state government's unwavering commitment to achieving significant milestones by the year 2024. Despite the project's three-year completion period, Governor Radda emphasized the urgent need for visible improvements within the year and assured full support for its successful execution.
Hamza Yunusa, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hydronamics, shed light on the project's scope, which includes the rehabilitation of dams in Gwaigwaye, Jibia, Mashi, and Dutsi, as well as the construction of new dams in Malumfashi and Katsina. Additionally, the project encompasses the deployment of smart water meters, digital payment systems, as well as leakage detection systems. It also includes the expansion of distribution systems, transmission mains, and the installation of 66 Megawatts of solar energy equipment in water works across 12 LGAs. The energy transition to solar power is aimed at reducing over dependence on the grid, while also reducing cost of water production and distribution.
Engr. Tukur Hassan Tingilin, Managing Director of the State Water Board, provided insights into the project's financial aspects, revealing that over 24 billion naira had already been allocated in the 2024 budget. He highlighted the comprehensive nature of the project, covering the rehabilitation of dams and other infrastructures, along with the reconstruction of the State Water Board Headquarters.
The signing of the MOU was witnessed by Alhaji Hamza Suleiman Faskari, the State Commissioner of Water Resources, and Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor underscoring the collaborative effort to address water challenges in Katsina State.

I had the most transformative conversation today with the Honorable Commissioner for Water Resources in Lafiya, Nassarawa State! We delved deep into the commercial dynamics of water supply and the game-changing potential of digitizing operations.
My dream is to lead water utilities from manual to digital, slashing costs and boosting efficiency. With Hydronamics' cutting-edge tech, we aim to curtail both physical and commercial leakages, making utilities financially robust.
Smart water meters and leakage detection systems come into play to amplify revenue generation while incredibly cutting down operational costs.
We are very excited for katsina, as it embarks on one of the most innovative partnerships for water in recent years!!!
I had the privilege of presenting the "Katsina State Urban Water Supply Improvement and Sustainability Plan" to the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda Ph.D.
Hydronamics and it’s partners are also providing access to Water infrastructure financing to help Katsina State rehabilitate and expand its Dams, Water Treatment Plants, Transmission Mains, Reservoirs and Distribution Networks, while also adopting a robust #Watertech strategy.
This startup is building a tech solution that helps people access potable water
Hydronamics provides an end-to-end solution with

"When @Hamzarion encountered a boy shocking drinking from a contaminated dam, he swore to solve Nigeria's water crisis. So he developed Filter X360, which purifies water for schools, communities, and homes, making clean water accessible amid challenges.
