i wanted all the ordinary things with her. falling asleep beside her, pulling her closer when it got cold, playing with her hair while we talked until we were too tired to keep our eyes open, making breakfast for her on a slow morning. but none of those things belonged to me. she was meant to build that kind of life with someone else. and that was the part that hurt most. because i had fallen for all those tiny things about her, only to realize they were never mine to keep.
Do you know the Lighthouse Theory?.
You can guide people, support them, and show them the way-but you were never meant to leave your ground just to save them.
The right ones will find you without you begging or chasing, and the wrong ones will pass by no matter how much you try.
It's hard to accept, but not everyone who gets lost is yours to save, and exhausting yourself just to be chosen only makes you forget that your light was already enough.
