On June 7, 2024, the Evangelical Baptist Convention Church in Vengnuam, Jiribam, West Manipur, was brutally attacked, desecrated, and set ablaze by militants from the radical Meitei community along with VBIGs,Arambai Tenggol and Meitei Police Commando.

This reprehensible act of violence resulted in the destruction of numerous homes and places of worship, and the abduction of Mr. Lianmuang (40).
Many villagers have fled to safer locations.

These atrocities, falsely attributed to the Kuki community in retaliation for a Meitei man's death, have led to a wave of unwarranted violence against innocent individuals and their communities.
