Subject: Request for stringent action against misinformation and hate campaigns targeting the Kuki-Zo community

Respected Sir,

I wish to bring to your kind attention that certain individuals from the Meitei and Tangkhul communities have been spreading false information and defaming the innocent Kuki-Zo community on various social media platforms.

The video being circulated, which shows brutal killings, is not from Manipur. Based on Gorecenter, the footage documents an execution that took place in Mexico, where members of the Sinaloa Cartel brutally killed and dismembered rival cartel members. The victims have been identified as members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), and the perpetrators have been identified as members of the Sinaloa Cartel.

This video is being maliciously misrepresented to incite hatred against the innocent Kuki-Zo community in Manipur.

I therefore request you to kindly take stringent legal action against those responsible for running such hate campaigns and spreading disinformation. Immediate intervention is necessary to prevent further escalation and to uphold communal harmony in the state.

Kamjong District, Manipur | June 11, 2026:
Kultuh, a Kuki village located in Kamjong District of Manipur, reportedly came under a pre-dawn attack on Thursday, resulting in the deaths of two prominent community leaders and the destruction of several houses.

According to local sources, the attack occurred shortly after the reported release of 14 Kuki hostages by the United Naga Council (UNC). Residents alleged that armed cadres associated with the NSCN-IM's (EF) launched the assault on the village during the early hours of the morning.

The victims were identified as the village's Head Deacon and Youth Chairman. Several houses were also reportedly set ablaze during the attack, forcing villagers to flee for safety.

Community members have condemned the violence and expressed concern over the recurring cycle of armed confrontations in the region. They questioned why church leaders and community representatives often become targets during such incidents and called for an impartial investigation into the attack.

#Manipur: Justice for Kultuh Village

The burning of Kultuh, a Kuki village, and the brutal killing of the Head Deacon and the Village Youth Chairman in a pre-dawn attack allegedly carried out by NSCN-IM/Tangkhul terrorists is a heinous act that deserves the strongest condemnation. This was not merely an attack on a village; it was a deliberate act of terror against innocent civilians and respected community leaders.

The Head Deacon and the Village Youth Chairman dedicated their lives to serving their people. Their cold-blooded murder, along with the destruction of homes and property, has left the entire community in grief and shock. The people of Kultuh were targeted while they were at their most vulnerable, making this attack all the more cruel and inhumane.

We strongly condemn the actions of the NSCN-IM/Tangkhul terrorists responsible for this barbaric assault. Such acts of violence can never be justified under any circumstance. The burning of a Kuki village and the killing of innocent community leaders are grave crimes that demand immediate attention and action from the authorities.

We call upon the Government of India, security agencies, and all concerned authorities to conduct a swift and transparent investigation, arrest the perpetrators, and ensure that every individual involved in this attack is brought to justice. Kultuh village is burning right now. This morning NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson, Arambai Tenggol, Myanmar Meitei Militants, NSCN Eastern Flank, Shanni Militants and Junta military crossed the border and set our ancestral village on fire. They are operating from bunkers in Tangkhul-dominated areas with protection from Tangkhul CSOs and some Tangkhul pastors.

We lost two Kuki civilians today while they attacked. Two innocent people killed defending their homes. This is not random violence. This is a planned invasion of Kuki land using foreign fighters and Indian insurgents together.

How are Junta troops and Shanni Militants from Myanmar walking into India? Why are foreign militants openly stationed in bunkers along the border? Where is the border security? Where is the Army? The same forces that claim to guard India are letting foreign armies burn Indian villages.

This is a direct threat to every Kuki-Zo family. They are fully armed, fully prepared, and they will not stop at Kultuh.

Look at Kultuh today. Foreign militants are inside India killing civilians while the world stays quiet. If you still believe borders matter and ethnic cleansing is wrong, then act now. This morning Kultuh Kuki ancestral village was attacked and houses were burnt down. Combined forces of NSCN-IM, NSCN Eastern Flank, Myanmar Meitei Militants, Shanni National Army and Junta military carried out the assault under the protection of Tangkhul CSOs, Tangkhul pastors, and the United Naga Council.

Today we lost two innocent Kuki civilians. One was a head deacon in the church. The other was the youth chairman of the village. Both were killed by NSCN Eastern Flank, NSCN-IM, Myanmar Meitei Militants, Shanni National Army and Junta military while defending our ancestral land.

We send our deepest condolences to the families of our martyred brothers. Their blood was spilled on the soil of their forefathers for simply being Kuki.

We demand immediate arrest of every person involved in the murder of our civilians and the burning of Kultuh. Book the attackers, their handlers, and those who gave them shelter and cover.
