An assistant principal of a middle school in Poinciana has been arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office after she behaved inappropriately with a 13-year old male student.

53-year old Dr. Keiva Lark has been charged with Lewd/Lascivious Conduct (F2) and Lewd Offense against a Student by an Authority Figure (F2).

The investigation began on April 4, 2025, after the principal of Lake Marion Creek Middle School (3055 Lake Marion Creek Drive in Poinciana) reported the incident to the PCSO.

The Polk County School Board and the Florida Department of Children and Families were also notified, and Dr. Lark was placed on administrative leave, pending the investigation.

The incident occurred after the victim was sent to Lark’s office due to the student throwing balled-up paper across the classroom during a test. While in the office, according to two witnesses and the victim, Lark told the victim to rub her feet, since he didn’t have anything better to do with his hands. She removed her shoes and placed her legs across the victim’s lap, and he did as he was told.

Lark was heard scolding the boy for not rubbing her feet correctly, and demonstrated how she would prefer to be massaged, by rubbing the child’s arm and shoulder. A co-worker/witness heard Lark tell the student to rub her feet like he loved her. A witness also heard Lark tell the victim that she was doing this so he would know what foreplay is for when he gets a girlfriend.

A witness told detectives that Lark, several days later, told the witness that she, Lark, “crossed the line” during the incident.

During a forensic interview with the victim, he said that Lark has referred to him as “Sexy Chocolate” while passing him in the hallway at the school.

“Dr. Lark initially told detectives that this was only a joke, and that she was just trying to humble the victim. It’s completely inappropriate for a 53-year old woman to act and talk like this to a middle school boy. It’s even worse given that this was an assistant principal and her student.” – Grady Judd, Sheriff

Dr. Lark later admitted that her actions were inappropriate for her profession, but she denied saying anything inappropriate to the victim.

“This is abhorrent behavior for anyone who works among students, especially an administrator. This person no longer has any business being around children. We commend the school principal for immediately reporting this incident, so we could take action and work with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to protect students.” – Superintendent Heid, Polk County Public Schools

Last night, EPA was notified of a spill of Mexican sewage at the U.S. border. Roughly 6 million gallons entered the Tijuana River over the last two days. Mexico is stating that their pump station Cila will be activated to fully capture leakage headed to the U.S. tomorrow. Mexico has further communicated that they are working to complete their international collector repair by this weekend. I look forward to personally visiting this area of the border in just under two weeks. Decades of raw sewage entering the USA needs to PERMANENTLY END once and for all!

NEW: The Chicago teacher accused of m*lesting a 15-year-old boy spotted with her husband after telling police he was aware of the boy.

Christina Formella told police that her husband, Michael, knew about the student but that the boy was her "stalker."

The husband, however, told police that he was in the dark about the boy and had no knowledge of a situation involving him.

According to investigators, Formella m*lested the student in her classroom shortly before she got married to her now husband.
