📍Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo #POATE2026
And honestly? Uganda came to SHOW OFF😭
Every booth had something happening 👀
Tourism operators, cultural experiences, food, travel packages, conservation stories… everyone brought their A-game😌
One thing is for sure; the Pearl of Africa still has SO much to showcase.
Also… the networking?
At this point we’re just collecting contacts like souvenirs 😂🤝

What a pleasure it was speaking with the @OldMutualUganda financial advisors…..
I came to challenge a belief that’s quietly costing many professionals business:
You don’t have a trust problem. You have a personal brand problem.
In financial services, we like to believe that trust comes from the company name, the product, or the years of experience.
It doesn’t.
Clients are not buying policies.
They are buying you.
And here’s the uncomfortable part:
If a client meets you and still feels uncertain, it’s not because they “don’t understand the product.”
It’s because your personal brand is not sending strong enough trust signals.
We unpacked this in the room:
👉 Inconsistency erodes trust faster than incompetence
👉 Silence is interpreted as lack of authority
👉 And visibility without credibility is just noise
Your follow-ups, your tone, your presence, your clarity…
They are either building confidence or quietly losing deals you’ll never even know you missed.
In this space, trust is not built when you close.
It is built long before the conversation even begins.
Grateful for a room that was open enough to question itself.
Because real growth doesn’t come from comfort, it comes from clarity.

At 28, she became the youngest mid-level manager in a government parastatal, leading a team of about 40 agents. Gaining validation for her ideas early in her career from senior colleagues was a hurdle she had to overcome. It turns out, results matter more than age.

I would like to congratulate our national heroes @joshuacheptege1 and @jacobkiplimo2 on their outstanding performances at the TCS London Marathon! Kiplimo finished 3rd place and set a new national record of 2:00:28, and Cheptegei finished 12th with 2:06:39. Their dedication continues to inspire the entire nation.

Uganda’s National Parks Stories 🇺🇬
📍 Murchison Falls National Park
What we love about Uganda… the power of nature is real😮💨
Uganda’s largest national park, covers about 3,840 sq. kilometers; and home to the mighty Murchison Falls. Here River Nile is at its most powerful.
The Nile squeezes through a narrow 7m gorge… then explodes into a thunderous cascade💥
The roar. The mist fills the air. The ground beneath you shakes.
Nature, at full force.

Shoutout to the women who are protecting their peace. To the women who refuse to be sidetracked, or give anyone their power. The women who recognize that they are in control of how others treat them, by what they accept. I hope you have an amazing day.
Our ED, @PrimahKwagala, featured on Conversations with a Defender, sharing insights on cases we’ve litigated in advancing Women’s Rights.
She noted that women’s lived experiences are transformed into impactful Court cases that help others.

I recently learned that when you search for top female PR professionals in Uganda, my name appears among the first five. Yes, Lyn Tukei!
All flowers to @nancy_akullo & her group of mentees for alerting me on this huge revelation. Truly, you’ve inspired this post!
At first, it felt surprising. Then humbling. And then… deeply sobering. More than anything, it made me reflect.
It’s a reminder that the work we do, the standards we uphold, and the way we show up every day are being observed, interpreted, and in many ways, setting a tone for others who are coming up behind us.
It also reinforced a powerful truth about personal branding: Your brand is not what you say about yourself; it’s what the world consistently experiences, remembers, and can find about you.
Long before recognition shows up publicly, your brand is quietly being built:
• in the rooms you show up in
• in the work you choose to do (and how well you do it)
• in the consistency of your voice and values
• in how others speak about you when you’re not in the room
Search results don’t happen by accident. They are a reflection of sustained visibility, credibility, and intentional presence over time.
But this moment also reminded me of something equally important:
There are so many brilliant women & men doing meaningful work whose impact may not yet be “searchable”; and that doesn’t make it any less significant.
So for me, this isn’t just a milestone. It’s a mandate.
To be more intentional about how I show up.
To build with purpose, not just visibility.
To open doors and amplify others.
Because the goal isn’t just to be seen; it’s to stand for something, and to make space for others to be seen too.
