🛡️ Introducing Is This Safe?
My family got scammed, even after asking me “Is this safe?”
So I built an app to protect them — and now you.
Take a screenshot. Upload it. Instantly find out if it’s safe.

The hard part was orchestrating the pipeline — glossary rules, tone, plurals, character limits, all working together across 22 locales.
That orchestration now lives in a reusable skill. New release? Run it again.

I localized my iOS app to 22 App Store markets in a few hours — strings, keywords, metadata, pricing, and screenshots. All from the terminal.
Here's the pipeline I built with Claude Code + custom skills + MCPs 🧵
ASC CLI — App Store Connect From The Terminal
Metadata, keywords, subscription names, territory pricing, screenshots, all uploaded via asc CLI by @rudrank. Pulled, translated, uploaded. Never opened App Store Connect in a browser.
`asc localizations upload` and done.
I’m really happy because the new feature I’m working on for my app Is This Safe just saved me from a very sophisticated scam. I’m usually very good at spotting these, and I almost didn’t notice it, but my app did!
@samhenrigold When Apple introduced the iPhone 11 Pro, they showed how it was capable of recording with the 4 cameras at the same time. The only advantage with the new iPhones is the center stage camera that is capable of following the subject
Last week I had the honor of being the winner of the Shippaton IRL Colombia hackathon, where I continued making progress on my new app Is This Safe?
A special thanks to @AvvyCo and @RevenueCat for the organization and for promoting these kinds of initiatives

For Is This Safe? icon, I knew from the beginning I wanted something that communicated clearly. I chose a shield with a question mark.
#Shipaton#buildinpublic
The shield was simpler to create and represents multiple layers of protection. The question mark, on the other hand, was fully custom-made and inspired by a magnifying glass. You can see the resemblance more clearly when it’s rotated.
This is the final result, in dark mode which is my favorite.
You’ll notice the “Not Sure” screen is gone.
I removed it for both technical and UX reasons

Then I added a simple color palette.
Blue and purple felt right to evoke a sense of safety.
Green, yellow, and red help communicate results clearly so users instantly understand if something is safe, suspicious, or dangerous.
